This comment by Roger should definately be replayed as much as possible to further cement nfls decline. But msm will spin it that trump caused it, not stupid Rogers attack on trump!! I mean what the heck is more divisive than your players kneeling during the national anthem! That’s not divisive Roger!!
Roger’s been hit in the head one too many times.
STATEMENT FROM NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL
“The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture. There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we’ve experienced over the last month. Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.”
Goodell thinks this is about Trump.
It’s not about Trump.
Here is your rope Roger. Piss up.
Why are we even expected to respect the NFL? What arrogance.
(owner of ESPN) Disney needs to remember that the culture of sports is fundamentally celebratory and unifying, not divisive. - Holman W. Jenkins, Never mind Jemele Hill, ESPN Isnt DoomedBut then, its an open question whether, to Hollywierd, profit is more important than being woke is.
Not only should Jerry Jones hold up Goodell’s contract renewal, but he is asking for more money! Jones should force Goodell to take a progressive pay cut of 5% for every month that the TV ratings and attendance goes down. First month is already in so Goodell’s check would be -5%. Next month with another decrease, another -5%.
The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture. There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we've experienced over the last month. Divisive actions by certain players like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for our fans, for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.
Get off of the NFL drug, folks. It’s killing you.
Goodell is a big part of what’s wrong with the NFL and why I’m watching more college football.
When the NFL became a propaganda wing of the DNC and BLM, they started loosing support.
It is only going to get worse for the NFL
Packers fan here. I didn’t always watch but usually had the Monday and Thursday nights NFL games on a tablet with the sound turned down. This season I purposely have not watched any of the midweek games.
On the other hand, major league baseball seems to have eliminated most of the African American players from their ranks (something to do with no fathers to play catch with) and replaced them with black guys from the Caribbean. They don't seem to have the problems the NFL does. Maybe the NFL should consider financing american football programs at universities in Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the DR?
Every time he sticks his head up to make a liberally endorsed weaselly PC or anti-Trump remark he will lose more NFL fans.
The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture.”
They have created a sense of disunity in our country and now complain that we respond with rejecting their message? What hypocrites. There was nothing that we liked more as a family than watching something that was apolitical. But no, liberals had to mess that up too. Thanks for nothing!
Goodel; what a jerk. To the NFL owners, fire him before you lose your collective a$$e$.
“”” Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL”””
WOW. The NFL believes the game deserves respect as if the silly game were that important.
I am not a football watcher so my lack of interest has no financial impact.
I can only hope the diehard NFL fans say enough is enough and get rid of their addiction and never watch a silly NFL game again.
somehow it just doesn’t seem like a smart business decision to me for the head of the NFL to pick a fight with President Trump ..
