I attended the Chiefs-Eagles game in Kansas City Sunday, visiting relatives. It was nearly sold out. The fans were raucous. There were many patriotic displays. Several local civic and military leaders were honored at breaks with strong applause. Probably a much different experience than left-coast teams.
And it was a good game, the Chiefs won, and they look like Super Bowl contenders.

On the other hand, “American Horror Story - Cult” which is based loosely on last year’s election has done a very balanced job of ridiculing the left by and ratings make it the 2nd Most-Watched Basic Cable Show of 2017. Had the producer made it one-sided anti-Trump storyline, that would never be the case.
Even South Park has jumped the shark. Couldn’t crack one joke about Obama for 8 years and last night they directly editorialized against Trump AND introduced a gay relationship for no other reason than to virtue signal how great they are.
Its not just the Trump-hate - that’s all recent
Its the perversity, lack of humor, lack of any style or grace, gay promotion, hate of middle-America, etc... that turned me off Hollywood years ago.

They have lost sight of WHAT their professions are supposed to be. Movies, plays, music, games- they are ALL meant to be an ESCAPE from dull,stressful reality. They are where you USED to go to avoid thinking about politics, war, misery and daily worries. To bring all that into entertainment is to negate their purpose. Entertainers are free to express their opinions, of course, but just like everyone else(especially the people THEY vilify and reject) they must suffer the consequences. In their case it is angering and alienating their paying audiences. Some may be rich enough never to have to work again, so they don’t need our money-but not most. And the inescapable fact is their audiences don’t NEED them to live.They need them for escape and entertainment(which is a luxury) and if entertainment doesn’t provide that they are not needed at all.
Hollywood is one big CIRCLE JERK.
You know it’s true- That a lot of them have to keep their true feelings beneath a veneer of anti-Trumpism. They believe that going along to get along is their only option, and so they have to be “on” even when they’re not onstage. Could it be any more fake? I pity the fools.
