Hollywood actor-director Rob Reiner teamed with Atlantic senior editor David Frum, Obama-era government officials, and vocal Donald Trump critics to launch an initiative Tuesday intended to help uncover the extent of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.
“To understand the gravity of Russia’s invasion of our democracy, today we launch Committee to Investigate Russia,” Reiner wrote on Twitter Tuesday morning, linking to the organization’s website: InvestigateRussia.org.
The Committee claims to be a “nonprofit, non-partisan resource provided to help Americans recognize and understand the gravity of Russia’s continuing attacks on our democracy,” according to its website. It will be a place where “all relevant information is aggregated in one place to provide context and allow users to see the full picture of what Russia has done and will continue to do unless we start paying closer attention.”
The committee’s advisory board members include James Clapper, the former director of National Intelligence, Max Boot, senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, Norman Ornstein, resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, and political commentator Charlie Sykes.

See...these sorts of political efforts are really nothing more than cash cows. They don’t really do anything except add to already shop worn crap. They exist as vehicles for, in this case, leftist money bags to make their charitable contributions for tax reporting purposes. Those on the inside get to draw income from the proceeds. The trillions of dollars sloshing around DC are there for the taking for scumbags like this who are in a position to work the system to their advantage.
“Obama era government officials” were just fine with sending teams to Israel to defeat Netanyahu, or to the UK to defeat Brexit. And more than likely to France to defeat Sarkozy. Across the globe, wherever there was a non-leftist to be defeated, it was good to have leftist American teams there.
They apparently were good, too, with wiretapping the campaign chairman and possibly a candidate for POTUS. But, oh, don’t let Russia “steal our democracy.” Really, meathead? Is Michael Moore on the committee, too?
Absolutely, that’s the other reason for this Dick Tracey committee. They will use this as a devise to raise money for Democrats and leftist causes.
What’s really ironic is how, before the 2016 campaign, observations of communist progressive “culture” were casually blown off by “progressives” - who chortled about how the Cold War was over.

The American scum left at one time were the biggest proponents of the CCCP. They adored Stalin and supported every Communist country in the 80’s because they hated President Reagan. Communism/Socialism is highly respected in liberal bastions of higher education and the virtues taught in grade school. Russia fell out of favor because the Soviet Union dissolved and proved Communism sucks. The left feels betrayed and they were so close to driving the final nails into the American coffin.
