An engineering student who was an LGBTQ activist was shot and killed by Georgia Tech campus police on Saturday night, officials said Sunday.
The school identified the victim as Scout Schultz, 21, a fourth-year engineering student from Lilburn, Georgia, who police said was armed with a knife. Schultz, president of Georgia Tech's Pride Alliance, identified as non-binary and intersex and preferred to be referred to with they/them gender pronouns, according to the alliance's website.
At a news conference Monday, Schultz's family's attorney said the student was experiencing a "mental breakdown" on the night of the shooting.

If you don’t shoot three, you aren’t shooting. BOOMBOOMBOOM
You have no defense but a charge of “turgidity!”
If you even knew what turgidity meant, my guess is you still will not be about to explain what is “swollen” or “bombast” about my 30-40 word and 1-image reply to you.
Or as witnessed during the Bundy Ranch stand off, subject to being ripped from the skin by a determined man. Or one pumped up on speed.
Suicide by cop.
But I saw it on TV!
Actually, now that I think of it, this would make a good scene in a movie - slowing down the exchange to show and spell out everything that an officer has to go through in that circumstance.
Like the hero’s confrontation with the Russians in “The Equalizer.”
the multiplicity of etymological twins in the English language...
I have no idea what you're talking about.
I know exactly what turgidity means. It means that a lot of FReepers get “swollen” by threads where a cop shoots a civilian. I’m not anti cop - I’m anti runaway cops. Could a civilian do what this cop did and not he charged with a crime?
Cops and not civilians are called to scenes like this to take on armed attackers and unlike civilians don't have the option of backing away. Anyone without a strong anti-cop bias would realize this, take it into account and not post the crap you posted about this particular shooting.
FReepers should first look and listen to the video and image on post-75 and then ask themselves the question that comes to my mind when I read post like yours:
Why would anyone in their right mind - other the the radical left and black separatists who seek the collapse of America into lawlessness - want 1) cops NOT to shoot anyone who behaved like Schultz did and thereby 2) want everyone else NOT to expect the same treatment for the same behavior?
Me too but freepers love it
