You seem to have the idea that a border wall will magically stop illegal immigration. It won't. It will slow it down and that's a good thing, but if you think that a wall on the southern border is going to block the swarms of parasites coming here to partake of the welfare bounty that the government provides by plundering the hard work of those of us who belong here you are sadly mistaken. We need to get rid on the anchor baby concept, we need to make citizenship a requirement for welfare, and we need to send the illegals who are already here back to where they came from.

We have probably 20,000,000 illegals in this country, and while the wall is important it is not going to be effective without deportation of the illegals already here. There are 800,000 so called "dreamers" EVERY ONE OF WHICH IS HERE ILLEGALLY. Keeping them as part of a deal is not going to go over with Trump's base. Yes build the wall AND DEPORT THE ILLEGALS as quickly as it can be done.

History lesson.. Reagan made a wall deal, we got anchor babies and no wall! Is there any person in the administration that can read history? No deal, elections have consequences.

The truth is the dims and RINOs do not want a secure border

Another exposed truth is that they want to keep Obamacare and all of the donations it generates from deep-pocket enablers.

I do think a lot of us Irredeemable Deplorables were hoping for something better from DC. Are we surprised that the pols have been exposed for what they are? Not surprised, but disappointed. Not with President Trump, but with the DC Frauds.

There's nothing `magical' about a wall. Right. Your argument is all over the place. You think those of us who demand a wall also want amnesty? That's jabberwocky. I don't know where to begin ... we realists want real border security: the sine qua non of national sovereignty, and illegals of all stripes tossed out, but for good. Re-phrase and shorten what you're trying to say. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Border Patrol has asked for a fence instead of a wall in at least some sections of the border. Where there has been solid barrier fence the illegals hide there and BP has no idea what they are doing. They wait for BP to go by and then cross, but BP has also come under attack from the other side of the border so the BP considers it a safety issue for them to be able to see through the barrier. This has been in discussion back to the first time Trump mentioned wall. The concerns of BP is being taken into consideration when wall designs are considered.

I live here, and I want a wall like the Great Wall of China. But that is not realistic and may not be the best way to secure the border. What we need is an absolute boundary fence/wall of some type that can be patrolled effectively by BP. There are sections of double border fence that have proved to be effective and I would have no issue with at least part of the “wall” being secure fencing. I am not hung up on a wall but I do want the border to be as secure as it can be.

OK, your concern seems to be that we are about to be sold out (on DACA?) in exchange for a bowl of savory stew?

This is actually nevertrumper thinking: that President Trump is a Trojan horse prepared to do as much harm as possible in one term.
I believe he wants to be re-elected. What was the alternative? A guy who photo-op’d at the border, thinking of the children with teddy bears and balloons?
Congress critters, knowing a good gig when they see one (What did they work? Ten days over the last month or two?) also want to be returned to their grazing grounds.
Amnesty, like Social Security reform, is a political “third rail”.

Trump is a realist. A businessman. Legislation would have to be passed to change federal immigration laws, laws which do exactly what you, and I, and most here want: an America that Americans determine, not resident socialists, their pet foreigners and their Bund here in America.

So let The Donald do what he does best: schmoozing. He gives the `rats the old pillow talk—they really are like children, isolated in their little Beltway political world, like ivory tower eggheads—and we finally get real border security.
The border is actually secured, there are no substantive changes to law from our fearless Uniparty pols and the illegals are sent back home—to Ireland, Mexico, Guatemala, China, wherever they came from. And we can work on changing the ludicrous “anchor baby” policy. (It’s not law. It’s just past practice.)

Some of them aren’t going anywhere for now, but they weren’t invited and are here illegally, or overstayed their visa welcomes and are here illegally, and we know where they are or can find them.
It is said that a good business deal is one where both parties walk away a little disappointed. When the dust settles, the `rats and their GOP-e allies will be a lot disappointed.
Like revenge, justice is a dish best served cold.

Your lack of comprehension of a straightforward topic doesn't mean that my argument is "all over the place." Maybe I didn't express myself clearly. Let me make it clear to you.

The wall without comprehensive immigration enforcement is useless. Kind of like the Maginot line (if you know what that was). It will be bypassed in any number of ways unless it is part of a complete package of anti-illegal immigration activities. Or let me put it another way it's kind of like trying to keep cockroaches out of your kitchen by blocking up a door when the apartment next door is crawling with them. They'll come in the windows, they'll come in the cracks in the walls, they'll come in through the wiring and plumbing chases, etc., and if they find food they'll stay and reproduce.

What really has to be done is remove the incentives for them to come. By all means build a wall, but also deport the ones here, and get rid of the incentives for them to come. There are a number if incentives for illegals to come here starting with free stuff (free to them, but paid for by us) that the government showers them with if they put a foot over the border. Make legal status a requirement for welfare. Get rid of anchor babies. Just two of the many things that should be done along with the wall to keep our country from being overrun by invading hordes that have no desire to assimilate, but want to bring their own anti-American cultures with them.

“Put out a push poll showing Hispanic voter trends shifting to republican votes cast”

Dems would sure be in a quandary. They’d have to figure out a way to keep out the Hispanics who are trending toward GOP, but still allow the America-hating Middle Eastern people in who are trying to help them destroy the country.

I’m with you. To me it makes sense to establish regular training there. We’ve gotta train them somewhere, and that seems like a great location for it.

I am to the point where I would like to see Trump stick it to the RINO’s & the Dem’s by asking for a GO FUND THIS ACCOUNT & see how much money the American people will pony up to have a REAL WALL.
