Hurricane Jose has been hanging around, waiting for attention in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Newcomer Maria threatens to impact the Caribbean Islands already devastated by Hurricane Irma, and brushed by Jose. Hurricane Jose threatens to brush or impact New England. Lee appears to be a fish storm at this time.

Looks like Punta Cana, one of my favorite destination places, is in the crosshairs.
Thanks Bud...
Oh my just got electricity and hour ago...Palm Coast Florida
Good to hear, FRiend!
Congratulations! Sweet relief! After doing the happy dance, I’m going to bet you get the best night’s sleep in a week.
tanks for da ping
here we go again - weeeeeeee
Given his track record with storms, that is not good.
WooooHoooo! You’re going to sleep well tonight:)
We’ll see what happens Wednesday when Maria shoots the Mona Passage between the DR and PR.
Now you can go reset all of your clocks.
Interesting discussions as always over at Storm 2k site. No real consensus but lots of talk about how much influence Jose will have on Maria’s track. It SEEMS unlikely she’ll hit our coastline, but...too many variables this early.
Looks as though the islands and PR are in the current path. :( It’s intensifying quickly.
Also read that for the first time in 300 years, no one is living on Barbuda at this time.
Ha, ha. Funny that you mention it. I just posted on facebook if anyone knew of realtors in Wyoming, Utah or Idaho!
Maria, well. Irma was a glancing blow, but as always, our main worry are not storms themselves - we live in reinforced concrete bunkers - but the aftermath of weeks without power. I am exhausted from trying to keep our business going with a backup generator (30 employee sales and call center and operations headquarters) for 10 days without utility power. Finally it came back yesterday and I was able to take my first day off since September 1. I am beat and I don’t need this crap anymore. Specially with our heavy season coming up earlier than usual this year. We’ll see what happens.
Glad to see you weathered Irma alright. My SIL arrives from Europe tomorrow to her home in your area and I’m sure I’ll hear about what happened there in detail.
Here’s hoping for a last minute detour!
That would be most unfortunate. Everyone has piles of brush and fencing. Lots of projectiles for the wind to play with. The county used to wait for FEMA money to fund contractors to do the pickup. Hope they expedite this. Pickup does commence today but will it be soon enough? Sounds like boarding up is essential for Maria's approach.
Yep, love that site. It seems that Jose is really messing up the models tracking where Maria is going beyond 3 days. Sounds like the longer Jose hangs around, the better for the coast.
Yes, our curb is pretty much stacked as high as it can be without things tumbling into the street... we stopped bringing out the debris until they come by and pick some of it up...
Praying for that high pressure to keep weakening so Maria can race up NorthEast into the Atlantic to quietly die out!
You are right best night of sleep...I feel good again and not a zombie, I could have been a star on Walking Dead

LOL! Looks like rain and wind (nothing like Irma of course) for us here in the inland part of The People's Republik of Connecticut. There's some concern for folks along the New England shoreline for potential wind and storm surge damage.
Hurricane Maria could spell trouble for the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Beyond that, looks like she may cause some trouble for the east coast of Florida...?
