That is funny.

I’ve been wondering if POTUS ad libbed “Rocket Man” in the UN speech or if the speechwriter actually wrote it. Either way, it was a great move. Nikki Haley said everyone has been using the term since.

It is so funny how the left & Dims do focus groups & poll test their slogans. I can just see Trump sitting there watching TV & off the top of his head calling Kim “Rocket Man” & now the whole world is using it.

The President first used "rocket man" in a tweet a few days before his speech at the UN.

From article: "The president's uttering of the two words immediately sparked curiosity about Trump’s affinity for the phrase, which he also used in a Sunday morning tweet about Kim.

A senior Trump aide told NBC News Tuesday that Trump’s use of the phrase was "all him."

"He doesn't need help in the branding department," the aide said. Another senior administration official said Trump "thought about it a few times" before making the decision Tuesday morning to add the "Rocket Man" line to his speech at the United Nations.

In fact, the term had appeared many years ago in conjunction with a North Korean leader, in July 2006, when The Economist ran a cover story about Kim Jong Il — Kim Jong Un's father, who died in 2011 — about the then-dictator’s own missile launches."

Where Did Trump’s Use of ‘Rocket Man’ Come From?
