Well stated
Its not me that is betrayed, because I was always skeptical of Trump. The ones betrayed are the ones who believed him and trusted him. Especially on the amnesty and immigration issues.
No it is reality. There will be no Gestapo roundups, much to the dismay of the knuckleheads.
Everytime a number is put forth it is 10 million more than the last one.
Deportation must be based on actual danger to the society and that ain’t the Reamers, by a long shot.
If the Wall is built. Allowing them to stay does not give them citizenship nor allow chain immigration.
I have yet to hear a PRACTICAL alternative from the Fire-eaters or even a rational one. Oh, but they can bitch up a storm.
Glad you aren’t my doctor - forget the heart disease, it is hard to treat, but we will take care of the athlete’s foot.
At least the corpse will have nice-looking feet.
Children brought here by parents are not criminals.
You are talking apples and oranges. The doctor and the office manager or administrator are two very different people and skill sets. Is this really that hard to understand?!
Only his current incarnation. Bannon's Breitbart spearheaded Ted Cruz's immigration rehabilitation. I can show you the articles where Breitbart claimed, on many occasions, that Cruz never voted or supported greencard or H1B increases, then I can show you where Cruz did just that, even shooting down a Jeff Sessions amendment on the grounds that restricting greencards was unAmerican. I can also show you where Breitbart called Marco Rubio a liar (technically he is, but not on the subject I am about to reference) for saying Cruz supported legalization of illegals. I can show you where Cruz not only supported legalization during the Gang of Eight fight, which many FReepers here blamed on just BS he was telling the Dems to "poison" the bill, but I can also show you his statements in support of legalization even AFTER the fight was over, and as late as 2015. Cruz couldn't even give Chuck Todd a straight answer when asked if he would rule out permanent legal status for illegals, since Cruz, in fact, called permanent legal status for the 40-50 million illegals a moderate third-way. Cruz even criticized Romney on this point.
A lot of FReepers deny this stuff to this day simply because they are ignorant of the sources.
Now, either Breitbart's people are shitty at basic research that took me, at the time, just 10 or 20 minutes of checking, or else Breitbart was willing to lie to their audience--not even in opinion pieces, but in straight up news articles--in order to shove Ted Cruz onto the Republican electorate.
Meanwhile, Breitbart's coverage during the primary could hardly have been considered "Pro-Trump." It only got that reputation because Ben Shapiro is a neurotic nitwit who wanted Breitbart to be 100% anti-Trump, instead of 50% anti-Trump, with the "Pro-Trump" articles basically implying that Trump isn't "really a conservative, but he's great on immigration! JUST LIKE CRUZ!!! Gee whiz, what a great guy Trump is! Cruz is just as good on all that immigration stuff. Yup! That Trump is really something!"
And this systematic evidence of straight up lying on Breitbart isn't even the tip of the iceberg. We got Breitbart taking dirty money to push candidates. We got Breitbart conspiring with Mark Levin's BS "Conservative Review" to shove Levin's fake Conservative ratings into every "objective" news article. They gave Cruz even better numbers than Sessions, even though Sessions was better than Cruz on basically every issue we consider conservative! THEN Breitbart even GAVE website poll data to Cruz's campaign, not to mention used Breitbart email databases and Breitbart email accounts to send unsolicited Cruz propaganda.
So, you guys sitting here telling me, oh, Bannon is such a good conservative, honest guy, hates them globalists, what I say in return is: Only because people have really short memories and allowed Bannon to re-invent himself as a Trump supporter.
All those stories about Bannon supposedly trying to take credit for Trump's election?
There's no doubt in my mind they're all true, because this is what "Conservatives" do in our day and age.
See my reply to Boomer
This is not an economic issue but a political one. Socialism has never attracted advocates because it is successful but by convincing the muddle-headed it would be “fairer” to the unsuccessful. It is based upon coercion and force. It is also turned to when the population is desperate and not thinking clearly.
The above post was intended for another thread.
My response is a perfect analogy to what you propose which is nonsense and will be followed by no one fortunately. No one will even take it seriously.
