Mary Ann Mendoza, mother of slain police officer Brandon Mendoza tweeted on Wednesday night:
>> Dont you dare turn your back on Angel Moms who stood by you! and:
Mendoza provided the following statement on Wednesday night in response to the news:
There is nothing President Trump should be negotiating on when it comes to Border Security or an unconstitutional program such as DACA. Congressional and Senate members need to get off their hind ends and start doing something productive instead of drawing lines in the sand. This is NOT a Democratic or Republican issue. This is an AMERICAN issue and they need to start protecting us! The Senate needs to pass HR3003 No Sanctuary for Criminals Act and HR3004 Kates Law. Both of these deal with ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS. They owe Americans the protection they have failed us on. President Trump needs to stand firm and keep his promises not only to us Angel Moms and Dads but to All Americans.
Sabine Durden, legal immigrant and mother of slain 911 operator Dominic Durden, responded to the news on Thursday morning:
Nothing can hurt me deeper than the death of my only child. Nothing but the news about DACA receiving amnesty feels like a horrible nightmare and if true, betrayal of the worst kind. I placed my life on hold since July 10, 2015 when I personally met Trump and believed he would honor his promise of no amnesty and building the wall. I shared my sons tragedy at rallies, spoke to senators and congressmen, appeared on tv and radio shows and supported and stood up for the man I believed would be the best for our country. For him to keep his promises so no other family would ever have to feel this pain.

No wonder it is so easy to keep “conservatives” from doing anything except spread hysterical rumors and nonsense.
Eisenhower did it. And he had a fraction of the manpower and technology we have now.
much less those covered by DACA, some of whom know no other country.
Not my problem. They can go back to their parent's country of origin and re-apply, but there would be strict requirements and it'll be on a case-by-case basis only.
Romney got ridiculed for saying it but self-deportation is the answer. Make eVerify mandatory for all current and future employment, for contract, temp, and permanent workers. Remove the jobs, we starve them out. Cheapest solution. Back it up with prosecution of employers or individuals that hire illegals.
How many can be reasonably expected to be handled per year?
How many employees does DHS have?
How many deportations can each handle?
There is no solution except a wall to cut the inflow.
I agree, build the wall. Put troops on it now until the wall is in place. Stop the inflow. And for the interior, require eVerify and take the jobs away. And no amnesty as it, like Reagan’s, only encouraged more.
>> Breitbart is really going hardcore on this.
And the #NeverTrump opportunists are having an orgy.
If you have a Disqus account, go have some fun :)
Eisenhower did not have as many to deal, with certainly not millions, they did not have states and cities taking the side of Illegalism or the courts.
Eisenhower presided over a Unified nation not one so corrupted by the Left as to be on the edge of civil war.
This is just another transparent attempt to split Trump’s supporters. Another successful non-issue to turn conservatives against Trump. You never heard the term until Obama concocted it.
Just determining who is what is an enormous problem as any practical thought would reveal. I am surprised to have you on the side of the Unrealists.
So the angel mothers are “useless”? The words you are sneering at are from the Angel mothers. Trump told them no amnesty - including for “dreamers”. Today he told America the “dreamers” get to stay. Who’s “useless”?
Remove the jobs and deny them public benefits, most will be started out in weeks or months. Gone. We just need to make sure the wall is up to prevent their return.
I’m not a nevertrumper. And I’m furious at his cave in on DACA
New York Donny is a slippery one.
Amnesty for dreamers will bring their families in to follow. Result: death of GOP as the rest of the nation becomes like California. One party, immigrant-intensive state. Thanks Trump - for nothing!!!!
Deportation was about my #1 issue, as having been personally effected by 3 decades of Presidents failing to enforce border security. I hope President Trump is not extending this profoundly damaging agenda, because there won’t be anyone left after him to put a stop to it.
I for one am glad that Breitbart is putting some heat and light on this, and I hope it enrages enough conservatives to get the message to Trump that playing footsie with Chuckie and Nancy is not why we voted for him.
I remember when W was pushing amnesty and conservatives rose up in justified rage against both him and congress, and all the amnesty talk stopped on a dime. In fact if I remember right they passed money to build a wall, and they actually started it.
We need to let Trump know that he will lose his base if he breaks his promises on immigration.
Good post. New York Donny’s turn (return?) to the left is infuriating and heartbreaking.
It’s Trump who’s spreading what you call rumors. He explicitly said today that the “dreamers” stay. That’s amnesty, and it’s the beginning of the end of the GOP - just like happened in California
So true. Third world immigration = The United States of California. Trump was a last best hope to slow/stop it, and now it appears he was a complete fraud. Awful.
Self deportation has already begun and the inflow has been cut down significantly.
One of the factors for deportation should be use of the Welfare State. Making it more difficult, if not impossible, to get these benefits. Criminals should be at the top of the list and even that is a gigantic problem. One percent of 10 million is 100,000. How is that going to be possible under even the most optimistic scenarios?
Those who have lived and worked here for years are way down the list.
