Mr. Obama only commuted his sentence. He’s still a convicted felon. BTW, how much does that gig pay?

Disqualification of Harvard from all federal grants and contracts.

Elimination of eligibility of students attending Harvard for all federal grants, loans and student aid.

The traitorous administration and faculty of Harvard should be brought to justice, tried, convicted, sentenced, and then publicly hanged for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Harvard is long past finished as a serious university. It’s only relevance is a big bag of money, and the ability to let the right kids kiss the kings ring so they can move into government.

Its reputation is that its extremely hard to get into, and then easy as cake after that.

Obama is a -classic- example of their product. From selection, to low quality of education, to being advanced for reasons other than academic achievement, and then moving into government.

Sad to see this happen to what was once an institution.

The following report from an earlier time and another questionable set of circumstances is relevant to this thread.

Harvard University’s Founding Vision and Mission — A Timely Reminder

The tumult at Harvard University that culminated in the resignation of the university’s president Lawrence H. Summers yesterday, provides a good opportunity to be reminded of that university’s founding vision and mission — and for a reflection on how far it has strayed from that vision.

Here is the text of Harvard’s founding statement, known most commonly as “New England’s First Fruits,” (1640):

AFTER GOD HAD carried us safe to New England, and we had built our houses, provided necessaries for our livelihood, reared convenient places for God’s worship, and led the civil government, one of the next things we longed for and looked after was to advance learning and perpetuate it to posterity; dreading to leave an illiterate ministry to the churches, when our present ministers shall lie in the dust. And as we were thinking and consulting how to effect this great work, it pleased God to stir up the heart of one Mr. Harvard (a godly gentleman and a lover of learning, there living among us) to give the one-half of his estate (it being in all about £700) toward the founding of a college, and all his library. After him, another gave £300; others after them cast in more; and the public hand of the state added the rest.

The college was, by common consent, appointed to be at Cambridge (a place very pleasant and accommodate) and is called (according to the name of the first founder) Harvard College. The edifice is very fair and comely within and without, having in it a spacious hall where they daily meet at commons, lectures, and exercises; and a large library with some books to it, the gifts of diverse of our friends, their chambers and studies also fitted for and possessed by the students, and all other rooms of office necessary and convenient with all needful offices thereto belonging. And by the side of the college, a fair grammar school, for the training up of young scholars and fitting of them for academical learning, that still as they are judged ripe they may be received into the college of this school. Master Corlet is the master who has very well approved himself for his abilities, dexterity, and painfulness in teaching and education of the youths under him.

Over the college is Master Dunster placed as president, a learned, a conscionable, and industrious man, who has so trained up his pupils in the tongues and arts, and so seasoned them with the principles of divinity and Christianity, that we have to our great comfort (and in truth) beyond our hopes, beheld their progress in learning and godliness also. The former of these has appeared in their public declamations in Latin and Greek, and disputations logic and philosophy which they have been wonted (besides their ordinary exercises in the college hall) in the audience of the magistrates, ministers, and other scholars for the probation of their growth in learning, upon set days, constantly once every month to make and uphold. The latter has been manifested in sundry of them by the savory things of their spirits in their godly versation; insomuch that we are confident, if these early blossoms may be cherished and warmed with the influence of the friends of learning and lovers of this pious work, they will, by the help of God, come to happy maturity in a short time.Over the college are twelve overseers chosen by the General Court, six of them are of the magistrates, the other six of the ministers, who are to promote the best good of it and (having a power of influence into all persons in it) are to see that everyone be diligent and proficient in his proper place.

R. Albert Mohler Jr.

This in our face action by Harvard is just another prime example of Intellectual Yet Idiots trying to tell us how to live, vote and to consider the abnormal as normal!

Our Governments, Universities/Colleges and many businesses/corporations are controlled and operated by the Intellectual Yet Idiots, who have been controlling our lives for decades. These Intellectual Yet Idiots control our media institutions, most of DC and many states down to the county/city level.

Nassim Taleb Exposes The World’s “Intellectual-Yet-Idiot” Class!

What we have been seeing worldwide, from India to the UK to the US, is the rebellion against the inner circle of no-skin-in-the-game policymaking “clerks” and journalists-insiders, that class of paternalistic semi-intellectual experts with some Ivy league, Oxford-Cambridge, or similar label-driven education who are telling the rest of us 1) what to do, 2) what to eat, 3) how to speak, 4) how to think… and 5) who to vote for.

With psychology papers replicating less than 40%, dietary advice reversing after 30 years of fatphobia, macroeconomic analysis working worse than astrology, the appointment of Bernanke who was less than clueless of the risks, and pharmaceutical trials replicating at best only 1/3th of the time, people are perfectly entitled to rely on their own ancestral instinct and listen to their grandmothers (or Montaigne and such filtered classical knowledge) with a better track record than these policymaking goons.

Indeed one can see that these academica-bureaucrats wanting to run our lives aren’t even rigorous, whether in medical statistics or policymaking. They can’t tell science from scientism?—?in fact in their eyes scientism looks more scientific than real science. (For instance it is trivial to show the following: much of what the Cass-Sunstein-Richard Thaler types?—?those who want to “nudge” us into some behavior?—?much of what they call “rational” or “irrational” comes from their misunderstanding of probability theory and cosmetic use of first-order models.)
