Hillary Clinton told CNN on Wednesday that it is time to abolish the Electoral College, part of a sweeping interview where the former Democratic nominee sought to explain why she lost the 2016 election.
Clinton, in the interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, displayed her animus for fired FBI Director James Comey, reflected on her love for the people -- namely former President Bill Clinton -- who helped her get through the crushing loss and blasted the arcane election body that she believes helped Donald Trump win the presidency.

And speaking of the unconstitutional (imo) popular vote for president, consider the differences in constitutional definitions for voters for members the House of Representatives versus voters for POTUS. (Note that the Founding States had originally given the people the power to elect only members of the House, not senators or the president.)

Simply put, there was nothing stopping the delegates to the Constitutional Convention from including the language from the Constitutions Article I, Section 2, Clause 1 (1.2.1), that clause defining the election process for House of Representatives members, into Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 (2.1.2) the process for selecting presidential electors.
"Article I, Section 2, Clause 1: The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, [emphasis added] and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature."
"Article II, Section 1, Clause 2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress [emphasis added]: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector."
Instead, while the language of 1.2.1, "chosen every second Year by the People of the several States," shows that the delegates basically gave the House of Representatives to the people on a silver platter, in stark contrast the delegates put an extremely small limit on the number of electors for president in 2.1.2.
The main reason that ordinary citizens are now so interested in who the president is imo, is that they have probably never been taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers, and consequently don't understand that the states have given the feds very little power to make domestic policy.
In fact, if an example of federal domestic policy is not related to the US Mail Service (1.8.7), or trade between the states and foreign nations (1.8.3), then citizens can bet that the example is unconstitutional and probably be right most of the time.
Pres. Trump will hopefully be elected for a second term, and will also hopefully be the last president elected by unconstitutional popular vote.
And speaking of Trump, although he is accomplishing a LOT as president, it remains that since the uniparty Congress wants to get rid of him that his first two years in office are arguably for practice. That being said ...

Since corrupt Congress is the biggest part of the sewer (imo) that Trump wants to drain, it is actually up to us patriots to drain the sewer in the 2018 elections, patriots supporting Trump by electing as many new members of Congress as they can who will support Trump.
In the meanwhile, patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the primary ballots.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to make sure that candidates are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed here.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added]." Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Also, unlike incumbent members of Congress who wrongly remained silent while misguided state officials abridged the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens during the lawless Obama Administration, patriots need to make sure that candidates on the 2018 primary ballots commit to the following.
Candidates need to commit to making and enforcing 14th Amendment-related laws to prosecute misguided state officials who use state powers to abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression and free speech for example, such actions prohibited by Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.
14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

How far back shall we go? I recall threads from 10+ years ago regarding the Fat Pantsuit calling for the abolition of the Electoral College after Gore tried to steal the 2000 election. By the time Missus William Clinton was in the Senate, that talk vanished.
