Conservative journalist Ben Shapiro was set to speak at the radically liberal University of Berkeley on Thursday where police would be present to deal with any violence from rioters. And since Berkeley was rapidly becoming anathema to free speech, Shapiro appeared on S.E. Cupp Unfiltered on Monday where he and the host raked Berkeley over the coals for being so ridiculous.
University of California Berkeley once prided itself as being the birth place of the free speech movement. But over the last several years it's increasingly abandoning that legacy in favor of trigger warnings and safe spaces, quipped Cupp as she introduced the segment.
In reading from a statement released by the university provost, Cupp demonstrated just how out of touch the liberal university was:
In a memo posted to the university's website, Berkeley Provost Paul Alivisatos wrote without any irony: We are deeply concerned about the impacts some speakers may have on individual sense of safety and belonging. No one should be made to feel threatened or harassed simply because of who they are or what they believe. Except Ben Shapiro apparently.
Counselling services are also being made available to students and faculty members who are upset by Shapiros speech.........

Ben Shapiro smells too much like a progressive in disguise.
Same goes for Miss Cupp.
Yeah, I have noticed that for quite a while now. Kinda like dana preeno on fox’s the 5 at 9. Or whatever.
Ben Shapiro has cut himself off from Breitbart and Trump supporters. I don’t think FreeRepublic allows articles from his site. Who really cares what he has to say or what he thinks about this or that? Seriously, who?
Mizz Cupp is not in disguise. She is a progressive.
Agree with you about Ben Shapiro. Something’s not quite right there.
Ben Shapiro is conservative on sexual morality, but pretty much a leftist on other issues.
He is pretty much like a libertarian, except the token issue they are conservative on is fiscal matters.
S.E. Cupp is a libertarian
Sarah Cupp is no conservative.
That's not the point. I guessing Ben Shapiro isn't the issue; control is the issue.
SHAPIRO: I Will Never Vote For Donald Trump. Here’s Why.

I think the bigger statement is that even a moderate like Shapiro is considered to be a Nazi by the antifa types and the snowflakes.
I would guess whatever Shapiro actually believes is very different than what he presents with.
Including sexual matters.
It seems fairly certain his primary purpose is to manipulate Americans who follow a real value system.
I think Ben Shapiro aspires to be the next George Will. Poor man...
“C” Cup is a Librarian ?
You sound a little microaggressed yourself. There’s a difference between critique of a President and down right against him. There are things he says that I too disagree with and the vast majority I do agree with. That doesn’t make him anything but someone expressing opinion and sometimes fact based on observation. People like to classify and fit people into boxes to malign them and marginalize. Ben is no progressive but he also isn’t a slobbering cheerleading worshipper either.
For some that’s an issue
Shapiro and Cupp are examples of fake opposition to the liberal elite. They can criticize some of the PC Left's worst excesses at times, but at day's end they share the left's fundamental assumptions on most issues that matter. It's a matter of tactics more than core beliefs, in other words.
For instance, when President Trump said that the far left was as much to blame for violence in Charlottesville as "white supremacists," Shapiro and Cupp were busy virtue-signaling their outrage like any good liberals would have done.
Whatever she actually believes is probably very different from what she claims on camera.
She is put there to manipulate. This makes it highly likely that she’s a progressive, or in the least she’s following the orders of progressive elites. Given the nature of the current system.
These are fairly PC Krauthammerish conservatives
What we called Neocons 20 years ago
Soft on culture
Weak on nationalism
Strong on fiscal
Love middle eastern power projection
Not my cup of tea and both hated Trump
They are never trumpers , IIRC .
