The start of the NFL season is normally a pretty big deal across the country. Apparently Los Angeles and San Francisco didn't get the memo.
The Rams and 49ers each opened their season at home Sunday, and both teams had to start their games with lots of empty seats in the stadium.
The Rams are hosting the the Colts, but it seems like the los Angeles fans are not that concerned about being there to see it in person.
[Snip]
The 49ers are welcoming the Panthers, but not even Cam Newton could attract a crowd that wanted to show up for kickoff.

They care more about the latest video games as well.
When I point out to people that demographically major sports as people have known them are already doomed I have been getting furious and angry tirades since I registered here.
What a difference the last year has made.
Yet it was so predictable.

Wow. And LA has such a track record of huge pro football crowd support that the NFL transited the city from zero teams to two teams very quickly. Smart move (sarc/).

I had season tickets for the Redskins when Norman Snead lead them to a single win season. Nobody walked out of a game till the final gun. That’s called being a fan and love of the game.
But with this disrespecting of the nation thing, they don’t want my money and I can find other things to do.

The crisis will come the next time the league negotiates TV contracts, and the networks won’t offer what they used to.

No longer will decent Americans worship these do-little game players. Real heroes do not receive such a title by playing with little balls.

The NFL advertisers wont see my money. We are no longer in their advertisers target demographic, 13 - 39, or a corporation to buy seats.
Someone forgot to tell the NFL that old people have disposable income and the time and tradition of trekking to these games. So they chase the our children and grandchildren, who watch sports differently than how we did.

As a long time Lions fan (not sure why) I am mentally equipped for a few victories per season but the real litmus test are the games against Green Bay. If the Lions beat the Packers at least ONCE per season, they can be considered to have had a “good” season...

As a San Diegan, I’m looking forward to the Spanos-owned Los Angeles Awfuls (fromerly Chargers) fall on their ***. Spanos taking the team out of town, plus Nappy-nick & his fellow mutli-millionare bro’s disrespecting the flag & country were the catalysts for me to dump all football. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

As an interesting aside, photos of the stadium crown of a local high school game showed a lot, an awful lot, of empty seats.

In a Third World, Feminized Nanny State, which America is fast becoming, there is no room for football, auto racing, and hunting.
These sports will be extinct in another 25 years or so.

Attention players: If you sit or kneel during the American national anther, I will turn off the game, and do something else. If you sit, I quit.

Its a little bit funny that both sides of this issue are now supposedly boycotting the NFL.
It isn't funny, it is the left doing what they always do...trying to make sunshine out of SH!T!
They KNOW the American public is tired of the Anti-American acts of the NFL players, and they KNEW last year that the reason the viewership was on decline was BECAUSE of the NFL ignoring America's disgust with their lack of action concerning all the Anti-America crap. So, they decided to try to co-opt the ALREADY OCCURRING BOYCOTT!
I will GUARANTEE that before the season is over, the MSM, the NFL, and the Liberal left (all one-in-the-same) will claim that the drop in viewership (which continues to decline) was caused by the fact that no team signed Colin! MARK MY WORDS! Their lack of viewership will be blamed on the "pro-Colin" boycott NOT because of the ACTUAL continued Anti-America rhetoric which the NFL continues to allow!!

The other “side” are not football fans. The other side is Antifa types. 99% of boycotts are those that oppose players kneeling not those that are boycotting because kaepernick is unemployed. They claim this only to muddy up the waters.
