The entire Florida Peninsula has begun to experience Hurricane Irma following landfall at Marco Island. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Prayers for all in the storm path.

“Could it go across and enter back into the Atlantic?”
A couple days ago Joe Bastardi had a model that showed something like that. It went across the south of FL back to the Atlantic, and then up the east coast to the NJ area. Shades of Hurricane Donna.
We are not allowed to call them, ‘Looters.’
They are, ‘Undocumented Shoppers.’
Maybe they will call the loot “reparations”?
As in “I got me some Air Jordan reparations!”
Garage doors are a weak point generally. They are strengthened by newer codes in Miami Dade.
The US Navy radio schools no longer teach Morse code. So it’s really on the way out. Shoot, my rating was Radioman, and they don’t even use THAT anymore.
In the Hurricane Irma channel on Zello, when it grew from 500 people to 50,000 in a day, it was the shortwavers who stepped in and brought order back and saved the day.
Very cool to witness that.
LOL
Just as the corner dealer is now an unregistered pharmacist.
Question, as I noticed something during a rare moment of MSM watching (ABC):
The images from Florida MSMjournolists and MSMcamerafolks were constantly jiggling. I imagine MSM cameras costing hundreds of thousands of dollars are full of advanced features not available to us home movie type people. Do those cameras have a jiggle feature? Or, do they have to jiggle the camera purposely to make it look windy?
“They are, Undocumented Shoppers.”
Thank you for the good laugh down here in the west coast of FL.
Yeah, that would be it. LOL
Report from the field:
My daughter that evacuated from Tampa Bay zone A went to Vero area. They have had about 18 hours of bad storms, tornados, high winds (45 - 65) and now power outages.
This upper level jet stream or whatever it is, is making the outer band storms east and north as much a problem almost as the eye.
What about people who steal from other peoples’ houses?
Undocumented borrowers?
Undocumented income and goods distributors?
That is great, truly great, news.
Zero WSR-88D data out of KBYX at Key West NAS in last 4 hours.
Also, I’m looking for any Irma-related tornadic ground truth to tune velocity and shear captures collected here.
If they loot your house, you’re engaged in ‘unexpected temporary guest housing.’
I see you are located in FL. Where do you live? Hope you are not in the storm path.
I would be or they would be?
Because I would be doing “undocumented citizens’ arrest/crime stopping”!
I’m inland now, safe warm and in a home with a whole house generator... 3m windows and double hurricane clips...
They are worried about Immokalee, which is inland, because the housing in those areas isn’t built with hurricanes in mind, as they are along the coast.
