But the September 8 letter from the Attorney General Jeff Sessions Justice Department said it would not even reopen the investigation because officials require proof beyond a reasonable doubt that a government employee intentionally discriminated against an applicant for a tax-exempt status based on viewpoint.

The IRS erased all of Lois Lerner’s incriminating emails.
this is rediculous, either we have law or not, it appears only to keep the slaves in place..
BTTT
It’s a damn shame.
How in the world did Trump managed to appoint an 0bummer operative to the cabinet
Trump MUST fire Sessions.
I think firing him would be the course to take.
Put someone in there who has the drive to restore law and order to the nation.
If Giuliani is the guy, so be it.
As far as the Justice Department goes, it isn’t liking like it.
Really? I thought they issued this decision. Do you think Sessions was in the dark maybe? That would help.
I can’t understand how these powerfully positioned people over whole departments seem so helpless, unable to clean out the subversives, are ignored and circumvented.

A while back, didn’t Miss Linda threaten PDJT if he “dared” to fire someone...was it Sessions or maybe it was Mueller...I can’t remember now.
Giuliani would do a great job. I think he told DJT that he really didn’t want it, and wanted to keep working at his private security company. But maybe he could be persuaded if he recognized what is at stake.
We do need a pit bull, one who is strong enough to stand up against profound evil, and one who hasn’t been compromised.
As far as the Justice Department goes, it isnt looking like it.
I agree with your take on it above that post, and here.
As for Miss Linda, I’m not sure. If someone made threats, I’d say it would make my task to fire someone (for just cause of course) just that much easier.
Thanks for your comments on Giuliani. I agree with your take on it.
Thanks for the reply. I am so disappointed.
I would have guaranteed Sessions. Now, I don’t even recognize the man. Something has gone to his head. He seems happy as a lark in front of every camera.
It’s all too curious.
I’d wager there are millions of U.S. Citizens who are as perplexed by his behavior as you are.
At some point I thought he would be announced a boatload of investigations with real world charges and convictions to follow. Then...
N O T H I N G !
I swear it looks like movie where a family member has been abducted and the person is rendered powerless.
Sessions, good grief man, what the heck happened?
Resign if you can’t man up. Otherwise, man up!
Correct. The notion that a president says “go get x, y, z” is preposterous.
Did you know that NO member of the executive except the president is even allowed to SPEAK to anyone from DOJ without a lawyer present? And that the President shouldn’t ever speak to anyone from DOJ with out a White House Counsel present?
The purpose of the DOJ is not to be the “enforcement” wing of the president but to serve as the source of justice for the nation. For a president to call up the Atty Gen and say “I want you to indict x” would likely be a crime, and certainly he would be told by the White House Counsel never to say that.
Collectively, the Justice Department and the President come to big-picture goals-—”war on drugs,” or “tightening enforcement of illegal immigration,” or the “war on terror.” Then the AG has the discretion to carry out that broad mandate.
Even Bannon said that “going after political losers in an election is not something that the American people want to see.” I smacks too much of a Banana Republic where, when you lose an election, you’re arrested.
Then, on top of all that, there is the likely fact that DOJ saw not nearly enough evidence to convict Lerner, let alone convict in a Virginia/DC court. All a smart lawyer would have to do is pull up the 2-3 liberal groups that the IRS also denied tax free status to. There goes intent.
All of this has to be done while DOJ is trying to oversee the arrest of every illegal in America, continue the normal enforcement of rules vs. the mob, enforce trade agreements/patent laws/etc. It all comes down to structure and resources, neither of which work in favor of “going after” someone like Lerner or likely even Lynch.
That’s why the best chance of getting Lynch & Cankles is still Mueller.
God love ya’, I feel the same, DO!
“:^)
Do you remember Henry II? “Will someone rid me of this troublesome priest?”
If the president wanted an investigation, there is no way Sessions could turn him down — and there are discreet ways of sending that message.
