recycled xindi uniform...
Valid point though, the new Klingons look more like the Xindi from Star Trek: Enterprise than anything remotely Klingon:
That being said, even though both Enterprise and Discovery's attempt to be a "prequel" is laughable, I think the reason Enterprise didn't gel with TOS is because they launched it immediately after Voyager and didn't do their homework about TOS, so it felt more like a prequel to Voyager than a prequel to TOS. In the case of Enterprise, they are well aware of what the Pike era is supposed to look and feel like, but just blatantly ignore it and try to market it as "faithful to canon" and claim anyone who balks at it is just a narrow minded bigot who dislikes "diversity" on Star Trek.
Despite the fact I have absolutely no faith in Discovery being good, I will watch the pilot on CBS and hope I'm wrong. But even if I'm wrong and it somehow turns out to be fun and engaging, there's no way I'm spending $5 a month for the "privilege" of watching it on CBS's "online only" streaming service.
If you want to review it and take one for the team, be my guest.
