seems it is the left wing simulated churches that are the fading ones.
What kind of deal did the Democrats make with the cop-murdering group Black Lives Matter?
A whole lot of hatred just in the title.
If white Christians are a minority, then liberals are disappearing. They don’t have kids.
I am not going to read this. But I am always amazed at how giddy some people are with the supposed demise of whites in America. (I assume by the title that this is where the article is going.) I am old enough that, thankfully, I probably won’t live to see the full impact.
There have been articles recently disputing the “Evangelicals are diminishing” meme. The decline has been in the Mainline former Christian denominations, not in evangelical churches. The perceived “decline” in evangelical denominations has been the last several years, but it appears that much of this has been in Southern Baptists moving to non-denominational evangelical churches which have grown rapidly, not in Evangelicals leaving the faith. Non-denominational evangelicals are not counted in most of these “studies,” which hugely distorts the conclusions.
In sum, the number of evangelicals is still growing, although not at as great a rate as formerly. The “decline” is as measured against the larger increasing population of the U.S. (e.g., evangelicals are not increasing at the same rate as the general population). This is not a surprise to some of us, as it is clear the country is becoming more wicked and immoral.
Modern evangelical churches are growing. It’s the mainline Protestant denominations that are fading. The title’s premise is only true if you consider those Protestant denominations “evangelical.” The reason for the decline of Protestant churches is their rejection of certain biblical teachings.
I was watching a documentary called “After Armageddon” and it discussed how humanity would survive after an apocalyptic event wiped out 3/4 of the world’s population. It said that religion would quickly reassert itself, since spirituality tends to increase after disasters. Add that to the fact that all governments would have fallen and the power grid destroyed, and we would be thrown back to the 1700s. Which, if you’re a social conservative, sounds like a little slice of heaven. No anti-religious liberty laws, no corporate CEOs and celebrities shaming you, no law enforcement to enforce tyrannical sodomite laws. We wouldn’t have to put up with political correctness at all since we could get away with murder.
“But I am always amazed at how giddy some people are with the supposed demise of whites in America.”
Sentiment has been there for a while, but now they feel bold enough to go public with it.
Fading white journalists seem to believe this is a good thing, for some odd reason. Can you imagine journalists gleefully announcing a decline in population of any other racial and religious group? They’re quite racist and bigoted, however since they’re cheering their own descent into oblivion, that’s OK.
It not only seems left churches are dying, they are. Evangelicals are growing with Hispanic immigration. We don’t separate ourselves by race. Christians are just Christians. The number of Christians in the US are growing.
