Information from NHC looks terrifying for the Miami, FL area because the current projected track of the storm will go right over the city. Despite what some people think, the low-lying Miami Beach area is extremely vulnerable to wind, very heavy rain and storm surge damage--and those famous Art Deco style buildings built between 1923 and 1943 have never experienced a hurricane this strong.
