One can see in this satellite loop the trough over Colorado, Western Nebraska, etc., that will erode the big high pressure ridge and allow Irma to turn North.

With the the big high pressure ridge flowing NE and Irma's contact of it flowing CCW (SW); it appears to me that there is a GREAT potential for easy tornado spinoffs all along the mixing area.
