did a new map come out at 5pm?
Thanks! I am enjoying following this thread, because its keeping me up to date.
Mom says all normal in Sanford. Just another day there.
When I was a teenager, we lived in Humble and New Caney texas for awhile. Went to Galveston, Corpus Christie, and Padre Island alot. Toothpaste works great on jellyfish stings.
Thank you! I especially enjoy your posts!
my sister went through Andrew just a few years after we had HUGO. Lost her home completely. Still in Miami though. Waiting on site rep from my mom.
No, not in Florida. MI for many years now. Old Order Community. But thanks for having me here! I was activated twice for Katrina.
I wouldn’t trust those tracks. They are all over the place. One has an eye wall landfall at Brunswick! Matthew was much more stable on approach but this one could anywhere, IMO. East coast or even west coast. That rotation in the keys is going to decide everything. I don’t like this lean to west trend. Not good for NE FL if it goes up the coast.
That said, the current NHC track has Irma's center over Lake Okeechobee.
Go to weatherunderground.
FYI
the EURO mean was about 10 miles east of the OP run
” hubby in the hospital and I couldnt put him in a car to travel to Atlanta...”

Where are you?
(prayers)
it will get even bigger
Rome and Summerville, GA have rooms not booked. A jog off the interstate at Adairsille.
This resort's website says they're in Providenciales, which is at the western end of the country. The storm is now arriving at the eastern end.
Did you find anything?
When do you arrive in ATL?
Thanks jj. I don’t like this.
Irma on a jet stream forecast map:

Mouse over the days at the bottom.
Don’t know what modeling they use but it’s different.
Has Irma spend a day in Miami and then crawl up the East coast and then out.
Hi there!
Welcome to FR! I’ll be keeping your family in my prayers, as well as my own, and everybody who is in the path of this storm. I’d love to hear about the things your experience tells you we should have our family members know, a sort of crash course in surviving for weeks on end with very little.
