I think the easiest method here...is to go up to the guy selling USA Today in your neighborhood and tell him that you won’t shop at his store or shop anymore...if they continue to carry the newspaper. If you got 5,000 shops to just stop selling it...the USA Today crowd tank in a matter of twelve months.

Instead of treating like a newspaper...treat them like a business, and hurt them that way.

Lots of chain hotels (e.g., Hampton Inn) dump a morning copy of USA Today outside of their guests’ rooms as a “courtesy.”

Hit those guys, too.

and for just a couple of bucks - find one of those self service newspaper boxes - insert coins - accidentally spill soda or coffee in there - maybe some JB Quik-weld on the latch

A quick squirt from a small bottle of Gorilla Glue (with needle point spout) into the change slot of every USA Today paper box would further that effort. Great Stuff expanding insulating foam works even better.

Not that I would ever do something like that, you understand. That's just something I've read...
