I was happy to see Donald Trump hijack the GOP nomination process, after seeing the bunch of @ssholes they were parading in front of us as candidates.

Trump sided with the average republican voter over the republican establishment on issues that had been ignored by every other candidate. That's why he destroyed all his opponents. Most republicans stopped supporting the establishment on huge issues like Immigration, trade, and foreign intervention a long time ago.
