(CNN) President Donald Trump bucked his own party Wednesday and sided with Democrats to support a deal that would ensure passage of disaster relief funding as well as raising the debt ceiling and continuing to fund the government into December.

The stinking, ever-lying, always scheming,
GOP never does what they PROMISE.
They can never be trusted again.
NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime you find. You get what you need
??? Where do corporate tax cuts fit into all this?
I have found it real easy to know what Ryan and McConnell’s true position is on any issue. They operate on the “what do Mark Zuckerberg and Tim Cook think” level. Silicon Valley is driving the show for the GOPe leadership...Ryan and McConnell are just puppets on a string. They are bought and paid for and only pay lip service to conservative ideals so they can’t be trusted or relied upon for anything.
Once again, we’ve had our asses handed to us. Another BS agreement which will get us nothing. Mark my words: AFTER EIGHT YEARS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP, WE WILL HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. NOTHING.
I agree. The party has spat in Trump’s face. At least Trump knows he is dealing with snakes when it comes to Demon Rats. Not the backstabbers of the GOP.
Wake up and support your President, GOP!!
At this point I am very cynical. I have all but given up on political solutions. The real solution is secession and dividing up the USA into 2 maybe 3 different counties.

BS. We had something to see for it on day one - Hillary NOT in the White House. If Trump does nothing else (and he already has) that ALONE deserves our endless gratitude.
>>The message Im getting from President Trump is that he wants the Republicans in Congress to act like a governing party.<<
I think you’re right. And since the only thing stopping the GOP from doing so right now is McConnell’s insistence on maintaining the current filibuster rule, I view this as a big hint to McConnell to dump the filibuster rule and start legislating. Otherwise he’s going to see a lot more of this.
Trump is used to seeing things get done. It must drive him up the wall to have McConnell enforcing a “shoot yourself in the foot” rule like the current filibuster.
Still, nothing will get done without a majority vote in the House. President Trump really doesn’t hold the cards to get things passed, but he can sure make life uncomfortable for the GOP until they get their act together and start doing what they were elected to do, i.e., drain the swamp.
I vote FOR Trump and FOR his agenda. I didn’t vote against sHitlery, she was a non factor.
Completely disagree. Congress is run by big money donors and lobbyists.
Congress doesn't create legislation. Legislation is created by big money donors and lobbyists.

Irrelevant. You’re still benefitting from the fact that she isn’t President.
What of substance did they deliver on the Russia investigations? Musta missed that.
>>The Republicans with their majority have failed to give Trump a single major piece of legislation. <<
I really wish people would become a little more discriminating in their criticisms. The House, from what I’ve heard, has passed many bills that now languish in the Senate.
McConnell’s failure to drop the current filibuster rule is the main reason nothing is getting done. It also ties the House GOP’s hands in many cases because of the need to structure a bill so it can be considered under the reconciliation process in the Senate to avoid the filibuster.
If all this ire was focused on Senator McConnell and the filibuster he so stubbornly upholds, maybe it would have an impact.
Bump. It’s way past time (10 months past) for the pubbies to grow up and grow a pair. Pathetic.
>>The GOP once again wanted to pander to the right by being spending hawks on storm relief and the debt ceiling.<<
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
They also trot out this BS on the Wall.
I heard it from my R-Swamp Congressman. “We can’t afford $40 billion.”
Right. The ONLY thing we can’t afford is Trump’s signature campaign promise.
Jerks.
Good for Trump! To hell with the idiot Republicans.
BS. We had something to see for it on day one - Hillary NOT in the White House. If Trump does nothing else (and he already has) that ALONE deserves our endless gratitude.
