While thoughts and prayers are with our Texas FRiends and neighbors, we are at the peak of the Atlantic Tropical Storm season. Hurricane Irma continues its trek from Cape Verde across the pond and toward the Hebert Box (see below). People with interests in the Southeastern U.S. and Gulf of Mexico should be alert to the forecast path updates for this powerful storm. It is important to note that the average NHC track errors are about 175 and 225 statute miles at days 4 and 5, respectively.
Hurricane Irma originally had a small wind field. In the past 24 hours, however, the wind field has expanded with hurriance force winds up to 40 miles from the center, and tropical storm force winds up to 140 miles from the storm center.
FL Governor Rick Scott reminds Floridians: Families should take time today to make sure you have a disaster plan and fully-stocked Disaster Supply Kit. Florida residents from West Palm Beach to Tampa Bay are heeding the alert. Store shelves are emptying of bottled water.

Boy O Boy.
What a nightmare.
(Please stay away from here)
That makes sense. The rapid increase in wind speed would be typical of either a tornado or microburst. Of course, hurricanes usually spawn tornados — I’m not so sure about microbursts.
NOT from Barbuda.
Somebody is trolling.
How did you miss this classic...
Hahahh! Ahhh yes, The Mighty Penn. Pfffttt...

Good instructions, except it's ctrl+v to paste. :)
There’s a shrine at a Catholic Church that came from a Nuns vision. It’s protected Key West from hurricanes since it was built. Take it for what it’s worth.

Pentagon diverting two warships and Marine expeditionary unit for post Irma relief. Not sure if I’ve heard of that before. Kinda ominous?
Kitties know how to survive. Actually muuch better than dogs. They will know where to go.
Daytona. Still have bad memories from Matthew.
Oops it’s ctrl+v to paste. My bad.
Ctrl+C is copy.
Does seem odd. But probably happened before.
Yea I dunno how I made that mistake. I know that. Lol.
Dogs can survive, because they are low to the ground, they have this fur and they look out for each other. Now if they were giraffes, see they’re taller and can get struck by lightening. Giraffes also just look out for number one. Giraffes are so selfish! From Andy Griffith show episode, dogs, dogs, dogs.
Wow! Is that Irma?
While we are in a model hiatus until the next model run comes out, I would like any and all thoughts on the opposite of evacuation.
I am a retired guy in my late sixties. I have family kids and grandkids in Tampa in a low lying area. They will probably evacuate, they have small children but are mature adults with good abilities.
I spent my life in construction management, and was a Army Guard Mess Sgt. in my youth so I understand, demolition, field maneuvers, restoration and the like. I think there is a possibility I may take off from my vacation cabin in the Ozarks and head down to their home if it is severely damaged.
Taking, water, gasoline, small generator, small sleeping bag, first aid kit, rubber boots, tarps, recipro saw and demo tools and 15 days of food with a small propane stove. I have a reciprocal concealed carry license and will equip appropriately.
I will have a lot of other items but I am looking for any suggestions for those of us that may be going down to assist. Others may profit from such discussions as well.
wow is that a current video or ??
