I know in similar situations in Florida they urge people not to rush out and top off their gas tanks.
My dad owned a gas station during the oil crisis in the 70s.
I was the “lucky” kid who got to put the “last car” sign when we going to run out of gas.
Likewise, I got to check the gasoline gauges (it would be impossible today) to makes sure they were < 1/2 tank. IIRC, some people just disconnected theirs.
I am pretty sure this won’t get to that point. I am here in North Irvnig and no signs of gasoline panic.
