Pope Francis: Rights of Migrants Trump National Security Concerns
Breitbart ^ | 21 Aug 2017

Posted on 08/21/2017 10:16:09 AM PDT by detective

Pope Francis on Monday urged countries to greatly improve their welcome to migrants and stop collective expulsions, saying migrants’ dignity and right to protection trumps national security concerns.

Francis’ politically pointed message was made in view of the Catholic Church’s 2018 world refugee day, celebrated Jan. 14. It comes amid mounting anti-immigrant sentiment in Europe and beyond following waves of migrant arrivals and Islamic extremist attacks.

In the message, Francis demanded governments welcome, protect, promote and integrate migrants, saying Jesus’ message of love is rooted in welcoming the “rejected strangers of every age.”

Ok, now exposit the application, using good hermeneutic principles.

You can’t get away with waving words around in a vaguely suggestive manner whilst patting yourself on the back for how “knowledgeable” you are.

I don't take orders from you, specially when it's plain you cannot defend the claim that Bergoglio is not truly Roman Catholic, and was in fact duly elected as 'pope' of that ecclesiastical organization.

You should have never pissed me off -- by first wasting MY time telling me what I allegedly did not understand, dragging that out from among your own vain imaginings.

I could say "don't waste my time, and the time of a majority of freepers by posting the same Romish self-justification, 'round and about explanations for why the sky is some 'special' color in Cath-o-lic land, resulting in a pope himself being not Catholic --enough. Stop posting that stuff on FR altogether.

Would that be fair, for me to say that? If not, then why not? You just told me "do not post to me". Take some of your own medicine, doc.

You people have been wasting the rest of ours' time by the 24-hour clock full, for years, on this inside-baseball nonsense that although does affect the outer world, surely enough -- does so chiefly because so many have been brainwashed into thinking the Latin Church had some special somethings no one else the world over had, or could ever have (except for the Orthodox when they not serve as bus-wheel cobble, sort-of like most anyone else who had differences with the Church of Rome over the claims it makes for it's own self).

Instead of all this studious distancing from Bergoglio (claiming he's not actually Catholic -- the critics all apparently being more 'Catholic' the the pope) stick with explaining the reasons why what Bergoglio chooses to say -- although perhaps sounding good on superficial levels, does not and can not work if what he recommends leads to applying finishing touches to the slow-motion cultural implosion and destruction Western Civ.

Work at explaining that (rather than mere shoot-from-the-lip argument by way of collected assertion) and you may have something. Until then, this 'Bergoglio is not a Catholic!' type of commentary is just so much noise, wasting people's time, irritating many, possibly driving people away from Christianity itself, and assuredly encouraging hard-heartedness & schism within Roman Catholicism itself.

Maybe after all these decades it could be recognized that difference of opinion, although bringing along with themselves many negative side-effects, is not in and of itself an altogether bad thing? I do believe many Roman Catholics have already recognized this, although there are still far too many who blindly react, searching for some "perfect" Catholicism which may have never existed in the first place.

Things could have been perfect at any one time and place, but alas, human beings got in the way and messed it all up.

Yup. We’re continually being told, “Once a Catholic, always a Catholic.”

But seems to me it depends a lot on who is making the decision and how much they like, or don.’t like, the person in question.

Remember when Frank was first elected pope and we were all warning the FRoman ciontingent about him and all we got was grief?

We’d point out stuff like this that he was saying and warning them but all we’d get in return was “ He’s been mistranlated”, “He’s been misunderstood”, “He’s been misinterpreted”, *You’re all just a bunch of anti- Catholic haters*.

My, my, my, how the tables have turned.

And not a single * You were right* forthcoming.

Although I would expect most Catholics to choke on those words spoken to a *Prot*.

Indeed, and just yesterday a Catholic was literally calling Luther worse than Hitler, unironically no less.

Why? Because Luther rejected central authority or something.

Well, now we see what central authority has done.

The irony, I am sure, is lost on him.

Like a typical liberal who imagines he know what God says, Pope Francis has totally missed Jesus' teaching regarding the "Good Samaritan". This is how we as INDIVIDUALS should act towards the needy that enter into our world - our lives. Certainly we should look out for one another and be willing to help those truly in need as God has given us to provide. It was NOT how an entire country is supposed to take care of everyone that wants to live in it and pay for all their needs. The Good Samaritan helped a man who was on the street he was passing. He helped the man by binding his wounds, taking him to a place where he could be fed and sheltered while he healed. Once this man was recovered, it was expected that he went on his way and not remained at the inn sleeping late, lazing around and getting fat off the largess of the Samaritan. Nope, the Samaritan was kind he wasn't stupid.

I'm all for legal immigration - we're a country OF immigrants. But there is certainly a difference between those who so deeply long to be Americans, they will work, save, get placed on a waiting list, have a trade, speak English and then be grateful for the tremendous privilege and opportunity they have been given to come to this country and those who want to take advantage of good hearted people and be a user. Or worse, to come in to destroy, pillage and humiliate America. Countries like Germany have allowed so many refugees to come into their country and given them money, lodging, food, etc. but failed to screen out those who only want to terrorize them. So, no, Pope Francis, migrants' "rights" can never trump national security. Only fools would think that - especially these days.

That was not all, since some RCs here are SSPV types, while sometimes the media did make him sound more liberal then her is, yet what this as well as the various interpretations of V2 and the CCC (Muslims worship the same God, etc.) shows is how much the chief interpreter is subject to interpretation by those who basically tell us that we are not to engage in interpretation (if it conflicts with Rome) but submit to the chief interpreter.

Again,

- VEHEMENTER NOS: It follows that the Church is essentially an unequal society, that is, a society comprising two categories of per sons, the Pastors and the flock, those who occupy a rank in the different degrees of the hierarchy and the multitude of the faithful. So distinct are these categories that with the pastoral body only rests the necessary right and authority for promoting the end of the society and directing all its members towards that end; the one duty of the multitude is to allow themselves to be led, and, like a docile flock, to follow the Pastors. Encyclical of Pope Pius X promulgated on February 11, 1906

“There are enough Catholics that are becoming unhinged by their chosen leader to form a group to nail things to a church door!”

Martin Luther probably never nailed his 95 theses to any church door. They were written as an academic paper in 1517 when Martin Luther was a Catholic priest and Professor of theology at Wittenberg University.

Martin Luther had many good points in his theses. Unfortunately they caused a dispute with the church.

If you really want to learn about Martin Luther read about what he wrote about the Jews.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Jews_and_Their_Lies

Also read about his alliance with the Muslim invaders of Europe and his siding with them against the Christians they slaughtered.

http://shoebat.com/2013/12/27/exposing-martin-luthers-love-affair-islam/

It was also no accident that in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 that amongst the Ottoman forces were to be found Lutheran and Calvinist allies from Holland and England. Treachery continued and in the Battle of Vienna in 1681, the leader of the Protestants in Hungary, Imre Thokoly in joined with the Ottoman forces was attacking Vienna. It is the grace of God that prevented this Islamic scourge from succeeding with Vienna as they had with Constantinople, due to the intervention of John Sobieski, king of Poland.

Nonetheless, it is clear that the followers of Luther and Calvin were willing allies and traitors for the forces of Islam due to the groundwork laid by the Reformers. In fact, it became a common saying among the Dutch Protestants in the 16th century that they would “rather a Turk than a Papist”.

First, trying to find out the truth about Pope Francis has not been easy given the dishonesty of the media.

Many of his earlier statements were vague and open to different interpretations.

I never called anyone a Catholic hater. I have tried to correct a few of the false accusations against Catholics but I don’t think I have resorted to name calling.

For several years I have written about Pope Francis who I consider to be an evil man trying to destroy the Catholic Church.

I have stated he has infiltrated the Catholic Church and risen to the position of Pope but he does not believe in or practice values or principles and is he not a Catholic.

Then you can show EXACTLY where he is mis-representing what the CHURCH teaches and believes; right?
