A native Texan who recently moved from Cypress Hills to Greenpoint because he thought it would be safer, was stabbed to death by a stranger in his new neighborhood as his wife watched in horror.
George and Christina Carroll were enjoying a stroll home along Monitor Street late Friday after checking out a new apartment and then hitting a local bar, when one of a pair of men hanging out on the steps of a school muttered something to them as they passed, the stunned widow told The Post.
It was basically, What are you looking at? said Christina Romero Carroll, 41.

Just a moment of observation here...
"Horrified Wife Witnessed Husbands Senseless Murder"
As opposed to what? A sensible murder?
A practical, prudent one?
And if so, would the wife then be less horrified?
Perhaps calm and reflective?
Placidly entertained?

Very much not surprisingly, crime in NYC is increasing dramatically under Democrat DeBlasio/Warren Wilhelm.

“A pair of men.” Well, that narrows it down...

First rule of relocating, based upon a lifetime of empirical evidence: stay away from the Amish, any and all Amish.

Who in their right mind would think it would be “safer” to move to Gunspoint?

And why would any Texan want to move to NYC unless it was career related? Their first apartment was in Cypress Hills which is basically a subset section within East New York which is one of the worst sections in NYC.

He was white, or close enough. His obvious unstated racism, the Stetson, his Southern accent, well, didn't he deserve it?
A LOT of very stupid people are going to be wide-eyed,gob-smacked surprised when the shooting starts, and doesn't stop...

There has been a group of older teens. They hang out by the schoolhouse or the park. I wont go by them, whether its day or night, said lifelong resident John Allens, a truck driver. Theyre loud, theyre rowdy . . . Neighbors have been complaining, but nothing got done. Within the last few years, the surge of drugs in the neighborhood is incredible. You can smell the reefer everywhere. Dental assistant Danielle Pirhaly, 40, called the kids who have overrun the park young punks. They like to go and cause trouble. There are always fights here . . . They beat up a young kid, stuffed him in the garbage. They broke someones jaw, she claimed. Sounds fun.

why would any Texan want to move to NYC Rhetorical question, if there ever was one..........
Unless he was Amish and thought he would be accepted into the 'hood.

Saw his pic, and I would say there is no way in hell he should have moved north of Kentucky.
