Regardless, to me it is very disturbing that Flake felt this work situation for any illegal alien was beneficial to the immigrant...OF course it was beneficial to the Flake family—they got”backbreaking” work for a pittance—Flake admitted that.

However, I suspect that the reason Manuel was such a hard worker is that he was under threat of deportation and his family back in Mexico needed the money.

Just disgusting that he is using his family’s use of illegals as a rationale for bringing in immigrant with no skills...that is one of the main points of the NYT article.
