Newt Sounds The Alarm: Trump Won’t Have ‘Stable’ Presidency Without ‘Serious Changes’ [VIDEO]

Former Speaker of the House and longtime Trump supporter Newt Gingrich is seriously worried about the future of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Gingrich, who has consistently been one of Trump’s most optimistic supporters, said Friday morning that Trump is more isolated than he realizes and needs to make “serious changes” if he’s going to have a stable presidency.

“I think he’s in a position right now where he’s much more isolated than he realizes,” Gingrich said in an interview with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer. “On the Hill, he has far more people willing to sit to one side and not help him right now, and I think that he needs to recognize that he’s taken a good first step with bringing in General Kelly, but he needs to think about what has not worked. You don’t get down to 35 percent approval and have people in your own party shooting at you and conclude that everything’s going fine.”

“How many times have we had this conversation? It was John McCain, Gold Star families and Access Hollywood. Is this week that much different than the numerous other situations?” Hemmer asked.

“It is only different in that you go through little ground, little ground, little ground, and after a while you have enough different people pull back that you are in a qualitatively different position and right now, that if he wants to get his agenda enacted that if he wants get things done and have a presidency that is stable, he is going to have to have a couple of serious changes,” Gingrich said.

“I think ‘The Art of the Comeback,’ which is a fascinating book that he wrote in 1997, is a really helpful reminder and he needs to think of what hasn’t been working and what he will do that is more effective in the rest of the presidency.”

Per usual you are seeing the world in a binary sense that doesn’t leave much room for how they are actually looking to do him in.

I like Newt but please remembe he is a member of the Washington swamp. He will attack anyone who criticizes McConnell and Ryan. So the next time you think that Newt only has the best intentions for Trump, remember he will not criticize his establishment buddies McConnell and Ryan, especially McConnell. That’s the main reason he doesn’t go on Lou Dobbs. He knows Dobbs will tell him straight out that both McConnell and Ryan are useless and are hijacking the presidency of Donald Trump. Dobbs is exactly right.

In some ways, you are very correct.

But please remember, at least until January 3, 2019, Trump has to find a way to get the Bopsie Twins off their butts and working to pass his agenda. That starts first with getting his own (White) House in order.

Bush 43 did it as Gov of Texas, with Ds controlling both houses of the legislature.

Love Trump, but the current disorganization, Tweets from Hell and off-the-cuff statements aren’t working. He has got Mathis, Kelly and McMaster. Give them assignments, then get out of their way and let them do it. They will succeed, if he doesn’t distract the national attention.

Have a good weekend.

All the generals are part of the problem, especiallty Daddy Arbucks McMaster and Mattis. Why are the drag queens still on active duty and why is the Military still catering to them and making soldiers go to sensitivity training and the rest of the BS, Trump also needs to get rid of globalist Tillerson as Sec of State. He continues Obamas affirmation quotas and still caters to the LBGT in the state dept. Never forget Tillerson fought long and hard to get homosexuals in the Boy Scouts, then fought for queer scout leaders.

CNN was openly calling for the firing of Bannon, Miller and Gorka. They were grinning from ear to ear yesterday. If Kelly and MacMaster get their way both Miller and Gorka will be the next to go. Both are populist. The go and Trump’s plan of draining the swamp is over. His cabinet might well be GWB or Romney’s.

Unfortunately Bannon also reportedly pushed Tillerson for State and Kelly for replace CoS.

I wonder how big Breitbart radio’s audience will be on Monday morning.

Yep—7 months in and still clueless that by listening to Jivanka (and, indeed, in some cases Bannon) he has brought into the WH the very agents scheming to sabotage and prematurely end his presidency.

.....I suspect the Rats know that and that is exactly why they are “hair on fire” crazy and aggressive......

I agree. Democrats also know that in 2018 they will have 23 senate seats up for election along with 2 independents who caucus with them. Republicans are expected to have 8 seats up for election. And with political tides turning, democrats could be in for a rout.

...Agreed. Bring in Newt...

I’ve always liked Gingrich’s mind, though I fought against him in his presidential run. I didn’t think he could beat Obama but that Romney could. Maybe I was wrong.
