At some point in 2019 (if not sooner) a Republican Senator may walk into the Oval Office and say to President Trump: “Mr. President, we don’t have the votes,” at which point the Trump presidency will end in a resignation or a conviction in the Senate.
This scenario actually occurred forty-three years ago this summer when Republican Senator Barry Goldwater walked into the Oval Office and told Republican President Richard Nixon that they didn’t have the votes in the Senate to save his presidency.

First, there has to be some charge against Trump. You know, "high crimes and misdemeanors"?
Second, after a crime has been established, there has to be a 2/3 vote to impeach in the House. This is like an indictment.
Then, the Senate votes to CONVICT. They don't IMPEACH.
The headline is factually inaccurate.

Well in a way it is a joke because the Senate doesn’t impeach.
Moreover the logic in the piece is that any Senator who has ever voiced disagreement with President Trump on anything apparently rises to the level of them also wanting to vote for conviction and removal from office on high crimes and misdemeanors.
What was the crime again? Hahaha...not liking who the voters chose? Interesting interpretation of the Constitution. Voters shall choose from among a select group of individuals....sounds like Iran

The author of the piece assumes no change in the makeup of the Senate after the 2018 elections. More evidence of the narcissistic mental masturbation that passes for journalism/reportage in the current environment.
Look at the article - one of the Senators they indicated would vote to impeach is Mike Lee - the evidence is that he openly voiced disagreement with the President over how to repeal and replace Obamacare.
