That’s when we started. Our schools didn’t have A/C back then and even in Sept. it could get pretty toasty in the classrooms. We also had semesters and nowadays they have “year-round” school, as they call it. Go a few weeks, have a week or so off, go a few more weeks ...
And summer break is a lot shorter.

Looks like we’re getting the shaft again. The good stuff went north of us. I was outside watching for a while and the sky was lighting up a lot, but no bolts were visible.
The radar shows rain on us right now but it’s not raining a drop. I hear occasional thumps of thunder but if I go out to watch again, nothing happens. I give up.

I don’t think I could handle “year-round” school. Tooooo much like work! LOL!

Ours faded away...like it evaporated. At least you HEARD the thunder. We didn’t even get a breeze. fffft!

Man! Is it ever boring on the internet without the birds to watch! I can only take so much of Didi’s icky nest! LOL! Even though the babies are getting really cute and fluffy instead of looking like aliens. :)
