Was here. Quiet...just like I like it. :) No rain yet but there are some thunderheads to the west of us, so there’s hope. :)

Yes, it was a good day. Had the monthly Republican women’s group meeting this morning and had a lot to do last night before hitting the sack early. I knew if I got on the computer, that stuff wouldn’t get done or I wouldn’t have gotten any sleep.
This evening I went to a reception for the young man who’s been running Congressman DesJarlais’s district office here the past 5 years. He’s leaving for law school tomorrow and the County GOP wanted to give him a big send off. He’s done a remarkable job and everyone loves him. I asked the congressman who was going to take Isiah’s place and he said he doesn’t know. Hasn’t found the right person yet. Isiah’s leaving some mighty big shoes behind to fill.
Been a long day but fun. Well, except for the sauna outside. Miserably hot and tomorrow will be the same. At the moment, I’m keeping an eye on the radar. Looks like we MIIGHT get a little rain and possibly some lightning shortly.
Maybe we’ll both get lucky and get wet tonight. We can hope! :-)
