In this song, the singer describes growing up in a place he calls "the Windy City." I assume it's Hurricane, Utah, but it might also be Galesburg, Ill., Breezewood, Pa. or Blowing Rock, NC.
Dead End Street--Lou Rawls (1967)

Jerusalem by William Blake is one of my favorite poems. The Proms finale is more stirring, but you have to give credit to a rock band willing to do a cover of the Blake/Parry masterpiece.

Ronnie Milsap's "Smoky Mountain Rain" mentions Gatlinburg, too.
Anyone who has ever lived in Calgary totally gets this classic by a Canadian legend:
Rockies Turn Rose -- Ian Tyson
But time has gone and slipped away,
And every highway highway I chose,
Took me further from the sunrise,
Where the Rockies turn rose.
But someday I'll find that Calgary girl,
Where the Rockies turn rose.
The whole song is a flashback while he's lying "wide awake in a west side Fort Worth motel." It doesn't get any more country than that!

My kind, my kind of town, Chicago is.
Fire Down Below - Bob Seger. “”It happens out in Vegas happens in Moline
On the blue blood streets of Boston
Up in Berkeley and out in Queens
And it went on yesterday and it’s going on tonight
Somewhere there’s somebody ain’t treatin’ somebody right.”
