Wrong, you can be convicted of reckless vehicular homicide without intending to kill anyone. I believe essentially that is the charge so far. I’m simply reacting to people here who are declaring him a justifiable self defense victim. He is an idiot and I guess mentally ill.
OMG.... learning disability. If you are being ATTACKED, AND you KILL someone trying to GET AWAY from a MOB with BASEBALL BATS... It is NOT vehicular homicide. Jesus.
As your tagline suggests. I have decided to stop tolerating you.
“you can be convicted of reckless vehicular homicide”
Well, vehicular manslaughter anyway. It cost Vince Neil several weekends in jail. And he’d been awake for days on a booze and blow bender when he crashed his Pantera and killed Razzle.
You probably would have gotten a lot less grief on this thread if you had posted that up front.
In any case, I think you're incorrect about this particular point. The only information I've heard about the formal criminal proceedings is as follows:
1. The driver was arrested and held on a "suspicion of murder" warrant.
2. He was denied bail today or yesterday. That would seem unlikely if he was only facing a vehicular homicide charge.
3. The AG Sessions announced that this is also a Federal matter, which would imply that there are potential charges (for the driver and/or for others) related to terrorism or civil rights violations.
I haven't heard anything beyond this, and I'll gladly stand corrected if anyone has updated information on where things stand. Everything I've posted on these threads relates to mitigating factors that would make a murder charge very unlikely to stick.
