The man accused of ramming his car into protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday seems to have already been found “guilty” by the media… but there may be more to the story than is being reported.

A video posted on Streamable reveals that the driver of the Challenger had slowed down and was apparently calm, until protesters hit his vehicle with a blunt object such as a baseball bat or large flag pole.

Maybe I’m missing something here but the people he hit were on the street. I doubt that they would have moved if he backed up slowly,they had become a mob.

I think this is what Trump knows. The perp had no intention of hurting anyone.
Yeah I’d say don’t drive your car into the middle of a protest. Duh.
I don’t agree that he cannot get a fair trial in Virginia.
It will of course be necessary to move the trial to a different county. And even then it will be very hard to pick a jury that’s not been contaminated by media bias. But I’m not willing to completely disregard the integrity of our justice system quite yet. Especially in a state like Virginia.
How bout you watch the reginald denny video and tell me which choice you would make.
Subdue the attacker by opening the door and grabbing him. But this crowd was out for blood, hence the attack on all sides of the car with bats and other objects. Most of the attackers were not attempting to subdue him, they were in a frenzy to destroy him and the car.
Ever make a wrong turn? I suspect he didn’t know at first if the crowd was friend or foe. Regardless, I am starting to doubt the narrative.
He could have backed up.
Instead he chose to drive into a crowd.
Back up slowly? You’re missing that you do NOT ever drive your car into a crowd. Why take a jackass that would do something so preposterous and defend them. The details of his criminal defense are another matter, he is an idiot and worse.
To paraphrase Capt. Willard (Martin Sheen) in Apocalypse Now:
"I see no subduing here, sir."
If anyone needs to be arrested, it’s “flagman.”
Especially when under attack. One doesn’t know if those “nothing personal here” bottles of urine thrown at his car are actually flammable liquid. I guess some think he should have got out and checked.
Another thing to take into consideration is that the Challenger is really crap for rear visibility. High shoulders, high back, very slanted rear window. It may also have played a factor in the move forward vs. back-up action.
There are many rural counties in Virginia that are not infested by liberals where the trial should be moved. With any luck, the sitting governor will be replaced in November with a Republican, who will use the state police to protect the trial from outside Communist agitators.
Considering the lack of policing is it much of a stretch to think he would have made a wrong turn?
The mayor, gov, and police have blood on their hands.

Realistic? Realistic is a young man lost in a strange city with his beloved vehicle being struck from behind suddenly realizing that he is in danger. Where am I wrong here?
Do you remember what happened to Reginald Denny during the LA riots over the not guilty verdict for the police officers beating of Rodney King?
The pulled Denny out of his truck and beat him so badly he doesn’t remember the incident including smashing him in the head with a brick!
What would you do in this situation?
