The man accused of ramming his car into protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday seems to have already been found guilty by the media but there may be more to the story than is being reported.
* * *
A video posted on Streamable reveals that the driver of the Challenger had slowed down and was apparently calm, until protesters hit his vehicle with a blunt object such as a baseball bat or large flag pole.

I think this video is slow motion. He was going very fast down that street.
There is nothing personal towards him in any of my posts.
There is some of your disjointed logic. There was also nothing
to “win.” That is just some emotional BS in your head.
He has a great defense, with video showing him being attacked>>> and the whoomp on the audio. you should see the attack after. deadly. 5 or six guys with baseball bats.
People are running out of the way.
He charged the crowd and flag man responded.

Really? There must be some problem with the board because I just scrolled back 5 pages, almost to Saturday, and can’t find a single post of yours to me that I have not answered. I am sure it is the board malfunctioning.
Now you are lying. Bye.
You probably would have gotten a lot less grief on this thread if you had posted that up front.
In any case, I think you're incorrect about this particular point. The only information I've heard about the formal criminal proceedings is as follows:
1. The driver was arrested and held on a "suspicion of murder" warrant.
2. He was denied bail today or yesterday. That would seem unlikely if he was only facing a vehicular homicide charge.
3. The AG Sessions announced that this is also a Federal matter, which would imply that there are potential charges (for the driver and/or for others) related to terrorism or civil rights violations.
I haven't heard anything beyond this, and I'll gladly stand corrected if anyone has updated information on where things stand. Everything I've posted on these threads relates to mitigating factors that would make a murder charge very unlikely to stick.
Its a flag swung like a bat-its not a bat.>>> it sounded pretty solid. i wouldn’t be surprised if the flag was attached to a bat or large piece of lumber. View the backup of the car. huge bats.
he will plead self defense and will be acquitted. He was definitely under attack and had legitimate fears for his well being.
TMZ video shows that vehicle in question bumped into a white vehicle in front of him. That is how car got damaged. Driver knew there was trouble and backed away as quickly as possible.

“i wouldnt be surprised if the flag was attached to a bat or large piece of lumber.———————”
Could very well be——those slime will stop at nothing.
.
Could be. So far I’ve seen no reports of how she actually got injured. If it’s as you suggest, a strong defense would be that the driver felt himself in reasonable fear of death or great bodily harm and backed up as fast as he could to escape. At that point hard to see any crime.
No kidding. For some *odd* reason Rachel Corrie keeps coming to my mind...
Where did you get that picture? I saw it a few days ago. It doesn’t look like the accused, but it looks very much like a military guy with the same name.
Taking the absolute worst video of the event and putting it in slow motion doesn’t improve the information it reveals. To really get a grip on this there are a number of videos from different angles and numerous frames available. Yeah have demonstrated one of about 15 events that occurred over some 15 seconds and totally out of context to what is not on most of these videos. Did you know that there is an overhead drone video? It doesn’t show his car but it shows the two in front of him. Did you know that the crowd was NOT attacking the folks in those two cars? Did you know there was a fire truck across the street blocking the street to the right ahead around the corner?
The irony here is that in theory, the police may have taken him into custody and given him a breathalyzer ... and if he registered a BAC of 0.25 then every discussion about this incident is academic.
I am sure we will miss you.
See photo in 195.
Not a large piece of lumber. Might be pvc tubing.
I’m pretty sure that girl on the back of the car was not the fatality. The more recent photos of Heather Heyer seemed to show someone who was more heavy-set than the one on the back of the car.
See my posts in this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3576895/posts?q=1&;page=241. I posted numerous videos there.
This video shows prior to the attack and shows the flagpole swing. That’s why I chose it for closer analysis.
