On Monday, August 14, Matt Drudge let the cat out of the bag, as he occasionally does (remember the Lewinsky scandal?), with an enigmatic tweet that congratulated veteran radio and TV talk host Laura Ingraham on her move to FNC prime time this fall. This tantalizing tweet was followed in short order by reports in other media advancing long simmering speculation that the FNC prime-time schedule will soon be changed
However, in an exclusive being reported here, on Tuesday, August 15, one of my reliable sources said with "1,000% certainty" that Fox News management wants Sean Hannity for the all-important 9 P.M. hour. "That's the most likely scenario" of the changes being discussed, the source added.
While no contracts have been signed and no final decisions have been made, it appears as of this writing that the fall 2017 FNC prime-time schedule will most likely be Tucker Carlson Tonight at 8, Hannity at 9, and (possibly if not probably) a new program hosted by Laura Ingraham at 10. In any case, it looks as if The Five will be returning to its former 5 P.M. slot. If this information holds true, the lead story today is that Sean Hannity will soon be going head to head against MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in a battle of the cable TV news titans.

Going to have to agree with you on this. Faux News (if they want to maintain ratings dominance) needs to learn that simply having the “right” ideas doesn’t make one important or interesting to conservatives. I think Hannity’s probably a really nice guy, with good, principled values. Same with Tucker Carlson. I wish them both huge success. Sadly, I find Hannity to be tedious, and Carlson to be vapid. Laura Ingraham is much brighter than either of them, but, while I mostly agree with her, I don’t find her very compelling.
I’d return as a regular Fox viewer if they added a couple of conservatives who are exceptionally bright, witty, articulate and well-informed. I’ll offer up Mark Steyn and Buck Sexton.
Agree on all but Sexton. He’s like listening to an air conditioner.
Steyn is fantastic.
I don't think it works at 9. People were tired in the afternoon and wanted to know what was going on in the world and The Five told them. By 9 people are sick of news and ready for something else and there are other options available.
Also, they screwed up the dynamic of the show. Eric and Dana were like the parents. Greg and Kimberley were the kids. Bob or Juan was the kooky uncle or neighbor. Whatever Jesse Watter's other talents, he doesn't do the dad thing very well. He's too much a kid like the (much older) Gutfeld, rather than a steadying mature influence. But then, who knows what Eric was really up to behind the scenes?
No problem, hsmom, I’m thankful we finally got it up and running! Cheers, K.
I understand your comment about Sexton, but I think the guy’s been on a rocket-like career trajectory. He cracked open a mic for the first time just 5 years ago (part time), and soon became the first guy ever to have filled in for Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.
He’s had an incredibly steep learning curve, but he’s an unusually quick study. Listening to him today on his new’ish show, America Now, and comparing him to his first year on the Blaze, it’s like listening to two different people. I hear a ton of rapid development and huge potential.
YMMV, and that’s fine.
She's very voluble and has poise. But I've followed her closely over the years...and there's a certain lack of consistent conservative drive that has always made me uneasy, and still does.

Steyn needs his own show, the sooner the better.
I really don’t BUT as of recently, an ad will appear at the right side which of the screen and I just x out of it and it does not come up again.

Glad it’s working for you :)
I am on the cusp of cutting my cable. I had it for news and football. Both are ruined now.
Steyn is art work. He needs his own network. FOX is a joke!
I wonder if we can get a movement going for mass cancellation of cable TV.
Without mass cancellations, it would be fruitless.

I’ve picked up on that too, although if pressed, couldn’t come up with specific examples on command.
I wonder why Toni Lauren or Lauren Southern aren’t given a more prominent position....drop Eboni/Kat/Dana and put these young women in their place!
Yeah, I used to enjoy his commentary. He’s now running the weakly standard, so I guess his primary concern now is keeping the top hat and monocle wing of the GOP mollified.
Same here. Hope she didn’t lose it, or worse, was asked to remove it.
Ditto! She is a motor-mouthed brat, and someone needs to feed her a big burger.
It’s time for the Kraut to retire. He is nothing more than George Will’s mouthpiece.
I guess what I like about Rush is that even though I don’t like golf, he brings in all sorts of non-political stuff and is able to analyze it in the context of the culture.
Also, I’ve done interviews with Buck and thought he was reading from a script rather than interacting with the answers I gave.
Fox will rebrand as Teen Beat!
Rush is simply the gold standard for excellence in broadcasting. He’s the most talented individual who’s ever graced the airwaves. Not a popular opinion on FR, but I don’t much care.
I’m disappointed to read that Buck Sexton fell short in interviewing you...twice. If you give him another year or so to hone his skills and try again, I’d be interested to know if you find improvement.
Thanks for your replies, and have a great rest of your day.
