I'm sorta glad you didn't have any better sense than to pursue this line of argument. Lincoln had a Federal Judge Arrested.

The line of argument was your claim that Lincoln ordered Taney arrested and my pointing out that there is no real evidence that he did. By tossing Merrick into the mix I assume you are conceding my point.

But since you went down that path, Merrick was not arrested. In fact was never arrested. A guard was placed at his house since he was widely known to be associating with Confederate sympathizers, but Merrick himself was free to come and go. It would seem that he placed himself on house arrest. Link

Well it's no wonder you are all turned around. I present you proof that Lincoln did in fact have a Judge arrested, and you see it as evidence that he wouldn't do such a thing.

I really don't know how to argue with such a backward sort of understanding of the available facts.
