Question: Why did law enforcement stand there and watch it happen?
There was another thread where the city cops said it was county jurisdiction so they had to hands-off. Notice this is the county sheriff talking.
I don’t know, but they’re putting themselves in a bad position, the cops. The BLM types want them frying like bacon, and they treat white (normie) people trying to demonstrate like the second coming of Hitler. Gettin to where nobody likes a cop.
Per the police it was a “safety” concern. I think they caught so much heat, and they are finally doing the thing that should have been done.
Nevertheless, it looks like Sheriff is finally making the right move.
It was County Courthouse property (belonging to county) located inside city limits...City cops had no jurisdiction and at the time county cops were outside the city...

The Durham mayor (like the Virginia governor) prolly gave a `stand own’ order, as in Charlotteville.
The mayor and vice-mayor are white-gloved Democrat house boys and the cops know who butters their bread.
But it’s hard to sweep crimes like these under the rug when it’s national news. So show trials and wrists slapped.

Yes, good question, it seems that the cops just stand by and watch massive crimes take place now. There is no law enforcement. Riots break out with people hitting other people with bats and no cops intervene. I want my country back, the rule of law back.
