Race Preview After weeks of ads, mostly on behalf of incumbent Senator Luther Strange, the votes start rolling in tonight after 8pm EDT. Strange faces strong competition from former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, who has led him in the polling average by about 5-6 points, and from Huntsville Congressman Mo Brooks, who has trailed Strange in the average by a little over the same margin. If polling is correct, Strange and Moore will advance to the September 26th runoff. We anticipate the first results will roll in within thirty minutes of polls closing. Well have comparison charts and a county-by-county display above as those numbers roll in.
Polls where I live were not very crowded. Based on past elections I would say there was low turnout. Not sure who that benefits
President Trump continues to endorse Strange.. Strange indeed. Will the President continue to get involved in GOP primaries? I hope he does not.
Moore Moore Moore Moore!!!
Should make this the ‘live thread’. Gonna be fun.

“... Merrill said more than 340,000 Alabama voters were now listed as inactive in the Secretary of States database.
“That will not keep them from voting, Merrill said. They can absolutely update their information at their polling location, receive a ballot and vote. If they are not voting today, they can do it online again starting tomorrow.
...predicted wouldnt attract more than 15 percent of eligible voters, but would likely be closer to 10 percent “
Good for a giggle: Mo Brooks was listed as ‘inactive’.
So you want Flake, Collins and Graham to be re-elected?
Let’s get ready to rumble!
Go Roy Moore!
Sen. Luther Strange's most recent donors include Haley Barbour, Trent Lott, billionaire Ken Griffin, Goldman Sachs PAC, Al D'Amato. #alsen"
Who is the most false one, just there to take votes away from Moore, so the other guy will win?
I was voter #268 in the small community of Santuck today. I voted for Roy Moore and know of several others voting for him. As a longtime supporter of Moore, I am very happy to finally see him run for the Senate. I have long felt he will make an excellent Senator.
A House ‘special election’ going on in Utah tonight too.
I had heard nothing.

no of course not , I will be surprised if the President opposes any GOP senators next year in their primary. When did a GOP President last oppose the incumbent Republican in the primary?
There are 268 people in Santuck?
Ok so I have been torn on this election as all Alabama Rep Senate candidates make all the other Senators like look like leftists. I settled on Moore to send the Senate and House Leaders a message. Basically, kma. Ready for the results but betting on runoff between Moore and Strange.
love Moore
