President Donald Trump denounced hate groups at the White House on Monday, responding to critics of his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virgina surrounding an alt-right rally.
“Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” Trump said.
The president made his remarks in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House after meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the FBI Director Chris Wray.
Trump specifically named Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old woman killed during the protests after a reported Nazi sympathizer drove his car into a crowd of counter protesters.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence,” he said.

If you think it’s about cowering, you’re thinking a couple levels down on the strategy hierarchy.

Let subsequent events prove it out. I think he told the truth. Even if he didn’t immediately blame some Soros entities. Why do that if he was going to dump this publicly in Soros’ lap soon. You want the grilled cheese when Donald has only yet served the antipasto to a gourmet dinner.

It is disheartening to hear conservatives repeat the Left's talking points on "racism." From their reactions to groups like alt-righters, American Renaissance, etc. you'd think they genuinely believed that fringe white nationalist groups are somehow a bigger threat to America than the multicultural Left and militant anti-white racism among "minorities", which unlike Neo-Nazis is far from fringe and is encouraged by the establishment.
It all goes back to virtue-signaling among establishment conservatives, who have been conditioned into seeking the favor and approval of the liberal elites by adopting the Left's instincts and reflexes on controversial issues.
This is why, in spite of Republicans having 35 Governorships and Senate/House majorities, the Left's agenda continues to march forward on all fronts. And it will continue to do so for as long as the establishment "right" keeps accepting the Left's terms of debate and the liberal definition of the Overton Window on culture, the national question, and race.
