I don’t think Trump made a strong case for why this bill was so much better than the godawful ACA. How could he expect strong public support, and hence pressure on GOP dissidents if the contents were largely unknown?

Not only did he fail to make a strong case to repeal ObamaCare, but he was all over the map with his public statements and actions. First he held a Rose Garden ceremony with the House leadership after they passed their version of the repeal/reform bill ... then he came out a month later and said he wanted the Senate bill to be “less mean” than the House bill. WTF? LOL.
