If California is severed from the Union, dos money invested by California start up firms have to be repaid by companies in the Unites States??

Silly question considering that start-up investments are generally made for the purposes of return on investment and not national conquest. Canada and the United States have massive trade and investment flow back and forth but are clearly separate countries. Ditto for China and Korea, Japan and Taiwan, etc.
