"The election of Donald Trump is really a kind of class rebellion against people like us, educated professionals who live in cities, who have cosmopolitan views about things," Zakaria said.

[snip]"He [Trump} knew that the election of a black president had stirred a kind of ugly racial animus. A small subset but he knew how to get them" Zakaria said.

Well, Fareed, if you mean Trump’s election is a result of animus toward people who think they know what’s best for the rest of us dumb hayseeds, you bet your sweet, coddled, backside it is a rebellion against you.

Well, let’s see. Of the people I personally know who voted for Donald Trump:

All are educated in some form or another — either through university or professional schools, or through the school of life. One has an Ivy League degree but, from what I have seen from a lot of Ivy League alums, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

All are professional in some form or another — doctors, lawyers, scientists, clergy, teachers, business people. But some do the kind of jobs, as Mike Rowe used to say, “make civilization possible for the rest of us.”

Some are urban. Some are not. Urban does not equal civilized or enlightened. (Has he been to certain parts of our cities lately? For that matter, has he been to a rural area lately?)

Some may be cosmopolitan. What does he mean by cosmopolitan? Well, some of the people I know are world travelers and some speak multiple languages fluently. If by cosmopolitan, he means down for the globalist agenda, then none of them are cosmopolitan.

All of them are racist by default, of course, having been born white.

All of them I trust implicitly.

I will have to agree with Fareed on one thing — this was a rebellion against people like him, just not in the same way he frames the argument.

It’s always about PLU and PLT with the self identified elites.

Empty heads like Fareed are living examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Wow! A CNN news reader that can actually speak the truth. What next, a truthful report on Sgt. Debbie (Was-a-man) Schultz???

He’s “people like us” which translates into everyone else being the howler monkey class. Quite the insight on “people like us” thinking, wanting to lord over the properly ignored peons.
