If so, just because the President helped his son prepare his statement doesn’t mean it’s untrue. Don Jr. still testified under oath as to its veracity. Much ado about nothing.
This is said to occur on AF1.......limited number of folks that would be privy to that......sounds like something a former Chief of Staff would know
I don’t believe he was under oath.
The statement WAS untrue. The statement said that the meeting had nothing to do with the campaign. Later they admitted that this was not true.
I don’t know what to say about this except that if they haven’t done anything wrong they should stop changing their stories.
From an intervkew with the President’s attorney, Jay Sekulow, on July 12:
“That statement — by the way, I wasn’t involved in the statement drafting at all, nor was the president. I’m assuming that was between Mr. Donald Trump Jr., between Don Jr. and his lawyer. I’m sure his lawyer was involved, that’s how you do it. You know that. So to put this on the president I think is just absolutely incorrect.”
