CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuelans appeared to be abstaining in massive numbers on Sunday in a show of silent protest against a vote to select a constitutional assembly giving the government virtually unlimited powers.
Associated Press journalists toured more than two dozen polling places in neighborhoods across the capital, including many traditional strongholds of the ruling socialist party in southern and western Caracas. Virtually all the polling places saw hours-long lines of thousands of people in past elections over the last two decades of socialist government.

The good news is that he may very well not exist in the near future.
Maybe the computer was smarter than Venezuela’s own TSJ (the current ridiculous version, that is) and realized Mad Nic is in fact Colombian.
Unfortunately, history teaches us that ruthless tyrannies are never defeated by democratic process. It was that realization that guided our forefathers to open warfare.

Pinochet is in my pantheon of heroes with Reagan, Thatcher and Churchill. I don’t care how many socialists he had to bury to save Chile from the fate that has now befallen Venezuela. He did what needed to be done. I don’t lose sleep over the death of Salvador Allende, Argentinian sailors at the bottom of the South Atlantic, Nazi supporting civilians in Dresden, or the commies the US routed in Grenada.

Of course those "crimes" that made them "criminals" were thought crimes such as wanting Freedom, wanting Liberty, and wanting to keep the hard earned fruits of their own labors, and not have them confiscated by a greedy communist government of thugs and power-mad tyrants.
That's exactly what the Left in this country wishes to do with us.
Most of the media in this country is ignoring Venezuela because it makes socialism look as bad as it is.
WE need to hang with the Venezuelan people, or surely they and us will hang separately.
