Double the size of the House. Get reps down to about 360,000 constituents each.

That's what is really needed - even though conservatives raise objections to the cost of paying the new reps, which is superficial compared to the current bribery problems. It really needs to be more like triple - 1,500 or so Reps. Lots of new conservative voices who can't be bullied by the Old Guard. Less bang for the buck for K Street manipulators.

The Anti-Federalists freaked at a 1:30,000 ratio. They rightly feared an aristocratic House. The 17A rendered the entire Congress an aristocratic, if not oligarchic, assembly.

I’m through with a Congress that isn’t.
