That’s bad. Of all the murders and assaults there, do you know what the capture and conviction rare is?
It was happening all over the City, not just this neighborhood or district. Most of the night was chases to catch all these offenders. They didn’t stand there and wait for the Police to arrest them. Little hard to stop and take lunch or break during a chase. :)
And the A&B calls are starting already this morning.

Wow.
That was my fault... Their script prevents copy and paste so I had to write this while I was talking on the phone. My bad grammar here.
I should know better than to type while on the phone... :)
The ‘good’ news is that only 3 dead.
The ‘real good’ news is they will have another 55 or so hours to get a better percentage.
AND if they fail this weekend, there is always next weekend with the promise of a long weekend in 4 or so weeks.
Always a silver lining.
Of course NOTHING gets done when the shooters - if apprehended - are always the victims...
Also, at least with the dead you bury them and are ‘done with it’.
For the wounded, WE all get to pay for that and if wounded really bad (Although in the days of SSI a bleeding hangnail can get someone a Govt check for the rest of their life...)
OR keep pumping them kids out. When they get to be school age YOU & the SCHOOL SYSTEM can get monies for EVERY slow learner & rambunctious kid that comes along.
And how better to get that check than to ‘ignore’ your kid till he gets to 1st grade then ‘they’ can declare him an ‘idiot’ and the checks may get bigger.
LBJ and the TRUE fruits of his ‘Great Society’.
Later this afternoon it will really start to pick up, it’s Saturday.
I live in a very rural area and listen once in awhile to get a refresher dose of reality. Too easy to forget how messed up it really is.
It is my prayer that President Trump will impose martial law in parts of Chicago very soon to stop the killing of the innocent. This has gone on too long under the Democrats who do nothing to stop the gangs. These gangs are terrorist organizations and should be treated as such.
It really is a war zone...
Were did the tribs proofreader go? Proffesionull Gernalizm at it's finest.
The vast majority of these shootings are black on black. Seems white neighborhood are relatively safe.
That was me, My bad grammar while trying to multitask and talk on the phone. The Tribune site has a script that does not allow copy and paste so there was no way to get an excerpt. I had to write a short summary to be courteous for readers here. But then this site would not let me post from the Tribune without checking the “excerpt” box.
So it’s my fault... :)
“I was monitoring most of this last night on a scanner feed from the Chicago Police Dispatch”

I’m not too clever———how do you do that?

Things are picking up now in Chicago.
Thank you so much———should be fun to try it out on a Saturday night.

Didn’t know Chicago had an Austin area. Texas’ Austin is the uber armpit of liberalism here so it fits.

My privilege, I pull it up on a second tab and listen while I am reading and participating here at FR. :)
It’s a shame their hometown hero hasn’t seen fit to move back.
