For Republicans and our country, turnabout is not fair play.
Senator John McCain waited two years to get his revenge against Donald Trump for saying that McCain is not a war hero. But with a giant middle finger or more precisely a thumb McCain, perhaps assuming that hell never run for election again, showed Donald Trump that repealing and replacing Obamacare would not be the so easy venture that the great deal-maker promised.
I understand that these two men dont like each other. I understand that revenge is a dish best served cold. But by looking to hurt President Trump which I have no doubt was one motivation of the maverick Senator John McCain cemented his reputation as a politico who always talked a good game and who traded on his former heroism but who in the end was a harmful influence in American politics. (I say cemented because McCains reputation had already gone substantially in that direction with his involvement in the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold Incumbent Protection Act which may not be its official name his incessant efforts to get and keep America in wars, and his mindless desire to promote bipartisanship over principle, party, and, in this case, country.)
In the closing moments of his triumphant return-to-the-Senate speech on Tuesday night, Senator McCain said that after the debates and votes on health care reform, he planned to stay in D.C. for a few days managing the Senate approval of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), normally a fairly non-controversial process, before returning home for treating for his recently diagnosed brain cancer.

How long is the line?
The failure to dump obamacare is bad for the American people but may not be all bad for Trump and most republicans. Obamacare is still a train wreck and it still belongs to the democrats.
People are seeing their premiums skyrocket and their coverage going down. What is Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and Maxinsane Waters doing about it? Trump should be demanding the no-solutions democrats provide solutions to fix the obamacare disaster dumped on the American people.
McStain has spent a lifetime of reckless and unethical behavior. Much of damaging to his countrymen. In 12-15 months he will be gone and few will mourn.
McLame has done significant damage to himself; and there’s plenty of collateral damage to the GOP—Most notably Mitch McTurtle.
But he dropped the biggest bomb on the Democrats, who still own the entirety of Obamacare.
Today is the anniversary of McCain setting off the disaster on the USS Forestall that resulted in the deaths of 123 sailors.
There are two things we need to find out about Mr. McCain most expeditiously.
1.) What deficits are involved with the brain tumor Mr. McCain has? We’ve all seen the evidence of him mentally tripping all over himself in the last few weeks/months.
2.) What medication(s) Mr. McCain is currently prescribed and what would their side effects be?
If he’s medically unfit, or if his drug therapy is clouding his judgment, we need to find out now.
Wow, I didn’t realize that some believe there are still Americans being held as POWs in Vietnam. The story about the $4+ billion Nixon promised was around during the POW/MIA hearings. I don’t know what to think.
But during the ‘80s and ‘90s when the issue was often discussed, most people always asked if we “left men behind in Vietnam.” That wasn’t really the only way to ask it. Maybe more accurate, “did the North Vietnamese keep American POWs in Vietnam”?
But who can put together the evidence of POWs still in Vietnam if all the government intelligence agencies are part of the cover-up, if a cover-up exists?
I’m sick and tired of McCain getting honor for his heroism.
He’s not even in the same league with Benedict Arnold in the “hero” category.
We would not have won the Revolutionary War without the victory at Saratoga.
What did McCain do that was noteworthy before he became a traitor?
Maybe someday when people are describing traitors to this nation they will say that person is a “John McCain”. That should be his legacy.
“McLame has done significant damage to himself; and theres plenty of collateral damage to the GOPMost notably Mitch McTurtle.
But he dropped the biggest bomb on the Democrats, who still own the entirety of Obamacare.”
I fear the ownership has been transferred to the republicans. One person unilaterally gave the country continuation of Obamacare for an indefinite period of time. Nice parting gift John.
So "silver spoon" John screws America to get back at POTUS for telling the truth. Disgusting.
“I hope that brain tumor kills him real quick!”
Nah. Slllooooowwwlllyyyy.incapacitate quick though so he can’t vote anymore.
Time for our Governor to replace him
“Shame on you for deliberately trying to harm our nation. God frowns on revenge.”
Depends on the motive and target.
“1.) What deficits are involved with the brain tumor Mr. McCain has? Weve all seen the evidence of him mentally tripping all over himself in the last few weeks/months.”
It greatly enhances his pre existing prickery.
He had no “former” heroism...he crashed planes, wrecked carriers, and sung like a mockingbird to his commie captors.
He’s Jane Honda, with a dick.
John McCain and his hate, envy, insanity and inner self-destruction has destroyed him and his entire political career. He is not worth commenting on.
The shaking of hands with the smiling Democrat Senate leader, Chuck Schumer, accompanied by the shouts of glee and applause of the Democrat Senate caucus, upon McCain voting “no” to repeal Obamacare have finished him. What a sick man this poor excuse for a human being must be. God forgive him. I won’t!!!
“he was a pathetic excuse for republican nominee and hes been a pathetic excuse for a senator”
I’ll never forget how he during his presidential campaign supremely dissed Billy Cunningham for saying Obama’s middle name....Hussein. I knew the battle was over then. What a prick.
Then again, the swamp creatures revived Murkowski from a primary loss, so maybe there is little hope.
Good one. I’ll be in the line.
