The seemingly mild-mannered Jeff Sessions, while going through a public berating by President Trump, was actually operating behind the scenes to take down some other scourges on the earth, that nobody was paying attention to.
One aspect of the “scolding” of AG Sessions received, was that even some who may not have liked Sessions when he was getting nominated and confirmed for the AG position, jumped to defend him from the President’s assault, thus putting them on record as supporting Sessions in his adversity.
Having once defended him, it is a little hypocritical to then turn around and try to tear Sessions down now, as he begins to rip holes in the Deep State.
3-D chess taken to even higher dimensions.
And the thing about James Baker is that he is a close friend, colleague and ally of Comey and therefore tied in with Mueller. Now Mueller's remit on Russia should have put Baker dead in the middle of Mueller's sights. If Mueller let it slide with the obvious conflict of interest, Mueller needs to be gone, and Sessions can remove Comey for gross ethics violations - of which this would constitute one.
Having once defended him, it is a little hypocritical to then turn around and try to tear Sessions down now, as he begins to rip holes in the Deep State.
So since when has it bothered politicians to be hypocrites? They were best buddies in the Senate and then called him a racist during confirmation hearings.
I just don’t see it.
“Having once defended him, it is a little hypocritical to then turn around and try to tear Sessions down now, as he begins to rip holes in the Deep State.”
